Last year Know Direction hosted recording of all the seminars at Paizocon, loading up one a day for the best part of a month after the con. I don't believe there's any remote viewing, and even tweets were relatively light last year, as far as remote viewing goes.
This would be a perfect event for Podcasters & Paizo to co-ordinate and pod/vodcast the Panels/events(Both Know Direction and Chronicles podcast the panels last year). There were some audio issues with the recordings, (being live and not "studio" there will allways be issues) but they could minimise them with some co-ordination.
Not living in the US and baring winning the lottery there is an almost 0% chance of me attending a PaizoCon. I got to imagine myself at PaizoCon through the podcasts. It would be even cooler if there was video, but I am not sure if there is a big enough audience to justify the time and expense for that.
Has anyone at Paizo seen this thread? I know you don't want to create an alternative to actually attending your convention, but for those of us who desperately wish to go and simply can't, can anything be done? I'd pay for broadcasts/recordings.
I'm surprised that Paizo hasn't used Adobe Connect or some other webinar software to broadcast the sessions to paying remote participants...

And those recordings were 100% the work of Justin "Black Fang" Sluder as a favour to use an our listeners. I'll be attending PaizoCon this year, so I'll be able to record some seminars myself. If anyone else plans on recording the seminars or if there are any particular seminars people would like to hear, let me know.
The two I'm devastated to be missing are: "How to Power Up Your GM Descriptions" and "Homebrewing 101: How to Quickly Improve Your Game World" - both on Saturday morning. But I'd love to see any other seminars put on by Paizo, too.

There is an opertunities here for Paizo to build on its media coverage I hope they capitalise on it.

Interestingly, in a similar vein, Blizzard (the creators of World of Warcraft and other games) have done e-tickets with which one could watch a live broadcast of the evet. There were four "channels" that one could watch, and it was reasonably priced, granted, I think BlizzCon tickets are like $150 bucks, so, $40 is "reasonable" for those of us who can't afford to attend.
I'm getting lucky this year, and am attending, PaizoCon. But, if I couldn't, I too would be thoroughly interested in a Virtual Ticket to PaizoCon.
The Con starts today and it looks like non of the people at Paizo saw this thread. Sad. Have a great Con, all you lucky ones who are there. You will be sorely envied.
