Reporting Unfinished Scenarios

How do you report a scenario that was not finished? For example, a group that completely wiped in the first encounter. Two of the characters are dead and not able to raise, one died but was able to raise.

  • Will each of these players be able to play this scenario again because they didn't complete even a single encounter?
  • If so, and I report the game online, won't the system be upset when someone tries to give them credit for the scenario again later?
  • Do I get full GM credit?
  • Because one of the characters was raised, am I right in thinking I would not tick the "character died" checkbox on the reporting screen?

Any assistance appreciated. Thankfully this rarely happens!

* The Players will not be able to replay the scenario. I would issue them a Chronicle with all appropriate boxes filled in or zeroed out.

* I would report the game. The Characters will not recieve any XP and most likely no gold. The corner case is that there was some way they earned gold before ending the scenario. Unless they accomplished any factions missions before ending the game, they won't get any Fame points either.

* The GM would still get credit because he ran the scenario. The GM achieving credit is not dependent on the outcome of the players he ran it for.

* The character that died, and stayed dead, I would click the "character died" box.

That being said, I would also do my best as a GM, during the game, to make sure this didn't happen. I have heard stories of this occuring and ruining a group's weekend at a Con.

Pretty sure they can replay the scenario if they didn't play through 3 encounters (and therefore got no credit the first time around)?

Sadly they can't.

The three encounter rule is to qualify for earning the XP point for the scenario, and not to qualify for taking part in the scenario.
