Realm of the Fellknight Queen

Adventures

I am wondering if anyone has GM'ed this, I am planning on running it this weekend and wonder what the expected time frame is, as well if there are any parts that may prove difficult. Seems part 3 may be a planning obstacle.

what the expected time frame is

It took me about 9 hours, all in.

  • Definitely follow the podcast's advice and give the party the dream sequence encounter with Rhoswyn. The podcast talks extensively about this, so I won't get into more detail.
  • For the waterfall encounter, make sure you give whatever PC is water diving a chance to spot Avormeigh.
  • I added the Avormeigh
    random encounter
    and my party loved it
  • See the optional random encounter in the mist list
  • Once the party gets to Rhoswyn's domain, remove all of the spriggans and replace them with some other fey creature (I personally used pimped out redcaps). The party has been fighting the spriggan's for all the module now and same-monster-fatigue will have set in.

Where's the podcast? I might like to run this as well.

The podcast is linked in sozins post. Thanks Sozin, It was a nice listen, I will follow some of your advice. I have preplanned how much time per part for the module. Part three is the biggest planning due to the sand box approach.

*facepalm*

So I finsihed running this for PFS today. It took about 10 hours. For planning purposes. I tried to run part one and two relatitvely quickly, I finsihed the first and second part within 5 hours. The third part took around 5 hours.

Before running I had about 90% of the map premade. I had a huge selection of miniatures ready before I started. I made extensive use of pre-rolled initiative for players. I used a game mastery pad to put players in initiative order.

The hardest part to prep and run was the third part. I party stormed the gates and ended up with ALLOT of creatures in the courtyard.

The final fight was fun and lasted around an hour. All in all I think the party was well suited for this scenario. I we had a Inquisitor, cleric, cleric/mage and mage. The level ranges where 8,7,6,7. So an APL of 7.
