I can't speak for certain about games that might be going on in Dayton, but there's a Venture-Lieutenant there - Josh Shrader - who can probably let you know with more authority than I. Drop him a PM, in case he hasn't already seen this thread. Alternatively, send him an email through his address posted on the Venture-Officer page.

Check out the EVENTS PAGE also. I know there is at least one event scheduled for Dayton in March.

Correct, you need to be able to supple the book, or a printed page of the PDF w/ your watermark of any supplement you are useing.
For complete rules please download the Society guide to Org. Play Here(its free). That will give you the exact rules to follow to create a Character, and rules changes for Org. Play.
My advice would be to Tie your Character's backstory into the setting as much as you can. Pathfinderwiki.com is a great place for Information, as is the Inner Sea world guide.
Have fun, and I hope to see you on the 18th!

Yes, I downloaded that guide already. Though I have only skimed it so far.
What I meant was things that a NOOB to PFS should avoid. For example: I've 'heard' that:
The setting and story lines often make it difficult to play a paladin who sticks to his code.
Everyone should have some healing because there is sometimes no one at the table with the cure spells.
Everyone should have some inpersonal skill in their build because you might not have a 'face' character at the table.
etc...

"A Paladin's path is never easy."
Some factions will be harder than others for a Paladin, and you may end up having to not do some faction missions, becuase it goes against your code. But these can be chances for some Great RP.
Yes, it is always wise to carry some healing. Potions, Wands etc. A fairly popular option is to use your first 2 Prestiage points to but a Wand of Cure Light wounds, even if you cannot use it, someone in the party can use it on you, then give it back.
Skill points are Very useful in Society play, you'll run into alot of faction missions that require you to make skill checks.
Pathfinders are basicly semi-professional Adventures, The more well prepared you are, the higher the chances you get out of the tomb alive.
Not Every encounter has to be won by force.
Over all a well balanced Character is the best bet.
