Best Monster to Model a Metroid off of?

So, for those more familiar than I with the three bestiaries, any suggestions on a good base monster that I could use to use as the basis for a Metroid or Metroid-like monster?

Just a matter of taste, I chose vermin Wouldnt be much work to make them an abberation. The metroids seemed mostly mindless so i opted for vermin.

In that case vermin is just fine.
