Pathfinder - The Comic Book?

Licensed Products General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

Any chance of this happening? I mean Pathfinder has jumped from an rpg into novels and now a future game, but what about the odds of a comic book? Currently it feels like a lot of the comics out now have been done to death and since Paizo is known for creating interesting stories in their Adventure Lines ... I don't know ... it just seemed like a good fit.

Please, give me a reason to buy comics again outside of just the Drizzt ones. Everything has been try and repetitive and a good fantasy comic would be awesome. Iconics or new people, please, take my money.

If the Pathfinder campaign setting was in a comic, where in Golarion would we want it based? It seems to me that the de facto answer would be Absalom since PFS is based there and it is a central location, great for diverse stories yet my mind gets reeling thinking of other locations.

I think this is a fantastic idea since PFO is coming; it would really wet my whistle for the game (and make me more likely to play it since I am anti MMO) if I started to see the locations I would be playing in.

In a comic book, we can see the world rather than just read it; which locations are the most visceral, and would benefit the most from being seen?

Silver Crusade

Perhaps they could look to the old Forgotten Realms comic for some inspiration on an interesting story line and interesting characters.

Creating comics is prohibitively expensive. They would be better off licensing them or giving an official nod to a web comic which could be collected as a book. Webcomics are the future and a webcomic starring the iconics would be the bomb diggity.

To be fair, that's what practically everyone was saying about video games right up to the announcement of Pathfinder Online.

Dude! I would pay money for motion comics starring the iconic characters!

Or even better, a motion comic staring Varian and Radovan!

Flipbook style. :P

I would love to see it based in various different regions. Each with one different group (or lone character, or duo, or whatever; maybe some of them good, some others evil). Each a separate series that sometimes intermingle with the others.

Sorta like the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, Spider-Man... each one mostly on its own; sometimes together to face a greater threat, or maybe to fight one another, or for other reasons.
In such a scenario, though, I hope a main plot always goes on with each issue, not that they become collections of endless semi-autoconclusive sories.

CALLED IT!

Lol, this is super exciting stuff and I can't wait to read it. Definitely going on my pull list. I hope we see the iconics in comic book form!

Will this site be selling this comic, and if so when will you start a suacription line for the comics?

We don't have much we can say on those topics until actual products are announced. But we do know people want a subscription through Paizo!

Thanks for the quick answer.

Upon look at the preview pages at Bleeding Cool, I would also like to know the status of a possible subscription.
