Thanks again. I had seen your post last year, but with all the stuff that came out recently, wasn't sure if binding had been revamped officially. One GM I play with only allows Paizo products in his game.

I don't think that a GM who only allows Paizo Produts in his games isn't Open Minded. I'm ina game right now that is basically a PFS game, so our GM is only allowing PFS rules...
And to be honest, a LOT of 3PP stuff (and WOTC 3.5 stuff) is pretty broken. Paizo products can suffer from this as well, but it seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
As a GM, I allow SOME 3PP stuff in my campaigns, but only after I've gone over it a few times and often Nerf a few ideas. A GM who only allows for Paizo stuff is limiting herself to...how many dozens of books, companions, chronicles, modules, and APs?
But, that's my 2 CP...

As an aside:
I decided to more or less drop the blade-binding option from the Inner Sea World Guide when I updated it from the Campaign Setting, since it seems to me to be, to a certain extent, needless complexity. It's basically the same thing as disarming a foe, except it does so in a way that kind of disarms you as well.
In any case, it's simple enough to just resolve it using CMB/CMD and treating it more or less like a disarm attempt, I think. In fact, pretty much ANY stunt or special move in combat can be/should be resolved in this manner.
