Yet another Unicon is almost upon us.
Unicon has a special place in my heart, because it was the first convention in which I ran Pathfinder Society, and this year will be my fourth year doing so.
Date: Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October, 2011 (that's this coming weekend!)
Location: Melbourne High School, just a short walk from South Yarra train station.
This year, we're focusing sessions on First Steps, a series of three scenarios designed to introduce characters (and their players) to the city of Absalom and it's surrounds. Over the course of these three scenarios, you'll be sent on errands by each of the ten faction leaders. By the end of the series, your character should have a good idea which faction to ally with.
We'll also have a few other scenarios up our sleeves to run as the need arises, including several new releases.
Follow the link for further details on the Unicon 2011 Events page or the Unicon website.
Online registration for Unicon has already closed, but places are still be available for players who walk in on the day.
Whether this is your first game of Pathfinder Society, or if you're bringing along a Society character played at a previous convention, we'd love to see you!
Cheers,
Stephen (DarkWhite)

Unicon is over now and it was great and the Pathfinder was bigger than past years.
Thanks Stephen (Venture Captain) for making things happen and running one nice high-level table to get some of us that much closer to 12th level.
The game I GMed was good fun so thanks to the players at my table and all attendees. It was great to see some newcomers.
Now, roll on Paizo Con Oz 2011 in Brisbane next weekend (Thursday to Sunday). I am really looking forward to this. Good to warm up for it this weekend.

Yeah, I was really amazed by the numbers of players that flocked to Pathfinder over every other game system.
It was great to take a number of players through the First Steps series, including two characters that made it through the entire trilogy with shining colours.
The bonus convention chronicle rewards were very well-received and I'll be interested to see a few more curious races popping up at the Lodge.
Thanks to Stephen for coordinating so many PFS players so quickly! People who are going to Paizo Con should be getting excited.
