Are the dice cursed?

Gamer Life General Discussion

So... Superstition? Or unholy spirits forcing your d20 to roll nothing higher than 5?

How many of you frequently toss a d20 for poor rolls?

I've never noticed a d20 of mine to be rolling badly (beyond statistical norms). On the other hand, I'm usually rolling my favorite d20 all the time, so I don't exactly have a large sample size (despite having half a dozen d20s with me at each session).

I don't want to really I will just switch to another d20 I have and not throw away the dice. Anyway then you can give away the bad rolling dice to people that forget there dice to a session or do not have any because they are a new player. This will hopefully give them an incentive to get their own dice.

If I were rolling poorly, I would switch dice, but I wouldn't blame the die for my luck, I blame my own karma/spirits/superstition/etc.

I have witnessed one of my players, stand, walk out the front door and hurl the offending d20 as far as his strength would allow into the night.

I use an electronic die roller and therefore it is immune to karma, spirits and good or bad bio-kinetic fields. It also adds in all my pluses & minuses so I don't have to do math, because math is hard.

I cannot trust any machines when my fake-alternate life is in their hands
