Apologies if this is the wrong forum, I have a legal question.
My fiancee is hosting a pumpkin carving contest for kids at a local harvest festival this weekend. As her example pumpkin she is going to carve a goblin based on Paizo goblins with "We Be Goblins" in text on it as well as "Paizo". This pumpkin is not for sale and is just an example of what can be done with pumpkin carving tools. The designs at the festival will be from prepackaged kits sold at Wal-Mart, so the kids there won't be recreating any Paizo IP. Is this legal or are there additional steps she'll need to take in order to make it so?

Just be sure to carve the following text on the back of the pumpkin: "This pumpkin or 'Jack-o'lantern' uses trademarks and/or copyrights owned by Paizo Publishing, LLC, which are used under Paizo's Community Use Policy. We are expressly prohibited from charging you to use or access this content. This pumpkin is not published, endorsed, or specifically approved by Paizo Publishing. For more information about Paizo's Community Use Policy, please visit paizo.com/communityuse. For more information about Paizo Publishing and Paizo products, please visit paizo.com."
See, then you're good.

All hail the Great Pumpkin {Carver}.
Balodek your fiancee has very impressive hand skills.
Lucky you.
;)
On a side note, if ever your in Manhattan, New York during pumpkin carving season, take her to Tortilla Flats, her artistry will net you a pitcher of the best margaritas in this one horse town. I go there once a year to see all the pumpkins and to remind myself I have no artistic talent of note.

I passed on the praise only to be told I had accidently posted the picture where you could still see parts of the background. So, I submit the second picture in which the background has been darkened. Also she is quietly squeeing that everybody likes it so far and says "Thank you".
That. Is. Awesome!
I have to ask how she did the highlighting/shadows on that!Nice job Sara Marie!
time for more Paiz O'lanterns!

For the brightest highlight, you carve completely through the pumpkin, for everything else you carve the outer shell of the pumpkin, but not completely through.
Also, if you add vanilla candles to your jack-o-lantern instead of regular candles, it makes your pumpkins smell like muffins or cake. (Crazy but true.)

Aye, but did you see the difference on the gobo's vest? or the many different shades on the blade? that is some impressive degree of shell-thinning! :)

oooh this sounds good. (Does cinnamon work?). Mate hates the smell of carved pumpkin but loves pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread :) Yummy!
