These scenarios all include two faction missions. For characters using the standard advancement track, one of these should be considered the faction mission and the other the success condition for the scenario, maintaining the 2 Prestige Point maximum.
I'm planning on running a season 2 Scenario and I'm just requesting a clarification. Does this mean that if they do not complete the 2nd faction mission for their faction they receive no credit? or does it mean that completing the scenario is worth the other 1 Prestige.

For Season 1 and 2 scenarios (all of which off 2 faction missions) they earn 1 point for each mission they complete (max of 2). Hopefully that wording is better?

Yes, thanks. So just to make sure, if they don't finish the mission that counts as a success condition they do not get credit?
At the start of the module, I pick one of the two missions to be the success condition, let players of that faction know, and try to tie it in to the actual mission more. So, they get one for finishing the mod to the Society's satisfaction, and one for completing the faction mission that was not the success condition.

Right.
Faction Mission #1 - Bring me some trinket.
Faction Mission #2 - Convince someone to do something.
Complete them both, you get 2 PA. Complete any 1 and you get 1 PA. The overall success or failure of the Pathfinder Society mission is irrelevant (sadly).
Alexander, you are incorrect if I understand what you are writing. There is a little bit of bizarre wording and with the different seasons acting differently and slow progression it's frankly a bit of a mess.
For Season 1 and Season 2 you must complete both faction missions to get 2 PA. This is actually not a change from how it worked prior to Season 3.

Seasons 1 & 2 (Scenarios #29–#56 and #2–01–#2–26):
These scenarios all include two faction missions. Forcharacters using the standard advancement track, one of
these should be considered the faction mission and the
other the success condition for the scenario, maintaining

Looks to me like the guide tells you to use one as a success condition.

Perhaps this thread will help you. Like I said, wording != the best.

Wow. Talk about a case of the guide being totally confusing.....good to know, but man, that wording needs to be changed badly.
