(1) It deals 1 nonlethal damage. Anytime penalties reduce damage to 0 or below, it deals 1 nonlethal.
(2) Perception check at 15 + potion's caster level.
Yes, and its nonlethal.

Or, if you have detect magic, three rounds and a Spellcraft check at the same DC, and you don't have to taste it.
