I have an alchemist with infusion who is going to give his friend with a snake fetish the ability to turn into a Lamia Matriarch with the snake tail. Now, if I also gave her a potion of enlarge person, would it turn her into a Huge creature with the ability to hit as a large creature?
I know the size bonuses would not stack, but since the potion affects her attack and the size of her weapon, how would you deal with it? Of course if Monstrous Humanoids are not affected by spells that affect Humanoids, then it is kind of a moot point, but I thought I would ask.

I don't think your buddy's base type changes assuming you gave him Monstrous Physique. So enlarge person should work just fine eventhough he is in the form of a monstrous humanoid. His type is still whatever he is originally.
It does change, and so it would not work.
Thanks everyone for your quick replies, I thought it was that way, but I needed to be sure.

I am curious too. I checked the alchemist's formulae list and I can't find a single spell that can change a creature's type. Monstrous physique like other polymorph effects doesn't actually change the base creature's type.
So unless this is a homebrew formulae, I don't see why enlarge person wouldn't work.

Huh? No casting enlarge animal on a baleful polymorphed target?

To quote the polymorph sub-school:
"In addition, other spells that change your size have no effect on you while you are under the effects of a polymorph spell."
