I went around and thanked many of the staff at Paizo pesonally for the amazing weekend. I was not able to find everyone on Sunday, and a few of you were really busy so I decided to be polite and leave you to your work. I would like to thank you all once more, and express gratitude for the wonderful encouragement and advice given so freely.
This was my first convention for gaming, and I have to say that I enjoyed myself emensly. I have been to conventions for other industries, but this was the first where I was able to meet and talk freely with some of the leaders and super stars. On the first day, I was very intimidated by everyone, and was very unsure about how to approach and talk to everyone. I was expecting things to be like the other conventions I had attended, where if I wanted to talk to someone specific I would have to work really hard to come to where they would be and then hope they would even want or be able to talk to me.
This con was not like that at all. The first person to say hi to me and ask my name was Lisa. She was very kind, and I am sure she would have talked and answered questions if I wasn't so nervously shy at the time. It was Hyram Savage (who was told by a venture captain that I was too scared to talk to him,) who really helped me break out of that akward shyness. Sean, Wes, James Sutter, and Mark were really awesome to me whenever I had a question or comment. James Jacobs really went the extra mile in a conversation and even gave me a business card during a time in the con that I think doing so may have been an inconvenience for him. Just the little smiles and and hellos in the hallway really impressed me.
Thank you all once again. Not to just the staff at Paizo but to everyone at the con. The play experience was amazing, the gaming talk was great, and I know I made some good friends.
