I am hoping that next year at this time I will be able to go, I wonder about how much did this trip cost? I will either be living in Texas or Oklahoma?

Ticket for the convention + ticket for banquet + airfare from Texas or Oklahoma (Southwest should be cheapest) $200-300 (I'm guessing) + hotel room for 3 nights (about $300, but may be split with roommates) + money for food and drinks + purchase of new gaming materials, souvenir glass, etc. $? = ?

Airfare will most likely be your biggest wild card. I would recommend putting aside at least $1k to be covered. Before my car decided to eat my convention funds, I was looking at a minimum of about $1600 flying out of NC (and that included about $500 in kennel costs for the pack of dogs).
I'm hoping to squirrel away about $2k just to be sure I'm covered all around for next year (and get into Seattle a day or two earlier than I did for 2009 and 2010).
