Thor was a good movie. I took my kids to see it and we all loved it. The storyline was easy to follow, and it had the right mix of action, comedy, and visual eye candy. It also had a cameo by Clinton Barton (Hawkeye) who in the Marvel movie universe works for SHIELD. I was very impressed by Anthony Hopkins performance as Odin, and as usual he was great at it. At the end he shatters the Rainbow Bridge to Earth (Midgard), but we all know there will be a sequel. Good word of mouth will insure that this will be a huge hit, so go out and see it.

It could have had a little bit trimmed out of it at the beginning to tighten it up more perhaps but after that the movie flowed very well. I liked that there were some obvious plot choices for things to have happen that were lead up too but then not used and it left me going, "Wait, your not doing the cliche thing here? Okay, wow, surprising!"
A lot funnier then I thought it would be, and all in all quite an enjoyable movie. I'd see it again.
Speaking of Bifrost I don't remember ** spoiler omitted ** in the comic.
It's just a movie, it's not "real" like in the comicbooks.
