Penguicon (Troy Michigan, 4 / 30 & 5 / 1)

I will be running two sessions at Penguicon - one on Saturday, 2-6 p.m., and another on Sunday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. I currently plan to run two older modules - #24 - Decline of Glory and #5 - Mists of Mwangi.

This is rather last-minute, and won't appear on the official schedule (it will appear on the errata handed out at the con). If you're attending Penguicon and interested in playing, feel free to drop me a line. I'd feel better with at least one or two committed players for each session.

What kind of PFS turn out shows up normally?

Last year when i ran at PenguinCon, I was able to get a full table in three slots. Most people are there for other things.

I'd say to make sure you have a stack of pregens and some membership number cards.

My guess is this will be a fairly small event - with more planning, perhaps it would have been larger. This is my first year with the event; I have exchanged emails with the gentleman that did it last year, and he didn't mention any trouble making a full table.

edit: see his response above. I'll have membership cards and pregens handy.

I'll be happy if I get a legal table for both sessions. I'd like to have one or two people with PFS experience and low-level characters, to complement the crew of "never-played, but interested" that I imagine will be there. If I wind up with the opposite problem, and have too many people, it'd be nice if someone was available to take another table (even if it was a different scenario).

That said, with a $40-ish entry fee and only two sessions, I'm figuring this is more for those who are already attending the con and are interested in PFS, rather than those who would attend specifically for PFS. So, I don't anticipate having too many people.

Sad thing is I live right in the area and have never heard of this. Or, simply be blanking on it.

Must look online for details.

EDIT: Ummm...wow

Not quite sure how to parse that response, but yes, there is a surprising variety of panels at that con.

I looked at it a year ago before I'd seriously gotten into Pathfinder and was looking at it for the first time and I remember there being a sheer deluge of random geekiness with no real rhyme or reason.

That's...perhaps the most accurate description of the con I've heard. Last year I remember going to a panel on beating the Zerg in Starcraft, using Regular Expressions in Perl, and making a living as a creative artist. In the same evening.
