Hey, I love the idea of T-shirts for the factions!

Unfortunately I just want something a little different.
(It's the Graphic Arts Student in me, I admit it!)
So... I had a little fun with the faction logos.

I would like feed back on these... and totally understand if I get a 'Cease and Desist' letter. (Though I'm not selling them!)
Some of those aren't half bad, actually. I like the first three.
Well, I was only doing a quick mock-up of current logos. But I think something could be worked out. A dark burnt orange for the t-shirt color on Taldor, with a good burgundy outline of the crown MIGHT work.
And yeah, Osirion's kinda hard. I could try the burgundy I have for Cheliax' t-shirt color.
Personally, I like the logos and the idea of faction shirts.
But I'm tired of the 'same old, same old' screen-printed shirts for Cons, etc. With the screen print on the front of the shirt.
'To the edge' screen prints are more expensive than the 3 and 2 color screen printing done now... but not TOO much more ... I think.
So I figured ... why not try?
What's the worst they could say? 'No, and please don't bother us anymore'?
Again, quick mock-up:
Okay, apparently I like burgundy as a color.
However, after changing most of the orange outline of the Taldor shirt, I do like that darker red better. It could be changed from burgundy easily but still keep it a dark red, rather than a mid-orange.
And the burnt orange for the shirt... Well, I like it. But then that could be my 13yr old son's taste rubbing off on me.
Sorry for the negative feedback, but I really don't like t-shirts with huge logos, think they're ugly and attract attention in the wrong kind of way. They remind me of the unsold t-shirts you see in comic book shops, that never sell.
I want logos to be smallish and discreet, so I could possible wear the t-shirt somewhere and I wouldn't look out of place. The pathfinder t-shirts, as they are, have logos as large as I would like, and I'd probably prefer even smaller.
Regarding the Andoran t-shirt for Pathfinder, I wish they went with a blue (base color) and white (font color) instead of the dull and dreary grey and blue.
The best PF t-shirts to me are the Qadiran and Taldor t-shirts, because of their colors and logos, imho.
Everyone has an opinion and that's mine.
Oh, negative feedback isn't 'negative' in my opinion, unless it is intentionally meant to hurt and degrade. (I am an art student. Critiques can be brutal, but are usually 'OK' if they are not mean-spirited.)
And hey, suggest polo-style shirts with the embroidered logos over the left pocket! Those could be fun, too!
Possibly, a motto could be inserted: " give me liberty or give me death" or "freedom is the light of the world".
That's actually a great idea. For quotes, my preference is to have it on the back of the t-shirt.
A golf shirt type thing is a good idea also.
For Andoran: I am one point of light.
(A play on Pres Bush 41's thousand points of light speech. Seems appropriate.)

Another thing is to have faction buttons with the sayings on them, akin to the "Rogues do it with tools" or "Wizards do it with a staff" type of buttons. (Amazing what people will buy ... and sell.)
So just the background color for the faction, the saying, then a small logo under or above the saying.
Actually, design wise, some of the logos you could have faded in the background and with the right typesetting have the sayings across the front.
*ponder* *ponder* Hmmmmm... yes. Yes. I can see this now...
And one last idea:
Magnetic Bumper Stickers!
When we had our store, the D&D bumper stickers went fast! Especially the: 'Don't MAKE me roll initiative' and 'My student is a barbarian!' ones.
You could do some nice Pathfinder ones. And not /JUST/ faction bumper stickers. But you could have some notable quotes from the scenarios. No doubt there are some good ones!
(I'm still trying to find a group here in Utah, myself. I'm thinkin' I'm gonna start running via Maptools at this rate, I'd have a chance of getting a table!)

I would love to have polo shirts with embroidered logos.
If you like the big-logo design you'll probably like the Paizo golem t-shirts.
Mmmm, yes! Paizo should have their Official Pathfinder people show up to cons with polos and faction logos.
And yes, the Chelaxian one looks like the X-men logo. But keeping it straight up and down ... didn't seem to 'mesh' with the others. Or I would have. THough, now I kinda have an idea... hmmm. Might try it later!
