Went running for the first time in 17 years to get rid of excess energy.
The lungs held up okay after the initial shock, but a sedantary life style clearly hasn't agreed with my left shin which started to protest after the first 600 meters. Had to slow down to a walk for 1,5 kilometers and then finish with a 400 meter rush.
Now for a 5 o' clock bath!

Only fasr food chains in thks town are two McDonald's and a Burger King at the nearest shopping centre, a Max (Swedish hamburger chain) in the town centre, and the ever-present Sibylla hot dog kiosks.
We also have the most pizza places per capita in Sweden, but none of those are part of franchise chains.

I hope that, in the future, your runs go better.

Gooooooood morning FaWtL! :D Man, what a great day. Why is it a great day? Sure, what day isn't, really? Or maybe it's that big bag of Haribo I started the day with, who knows?
A bit cloudy this morning, apparently our Summer is due to end by the end of the week but, sure, we had a good run. And it's not over just yet. I'll have a nice, long walk in the sunshine later. Hope ya'll have a great day too. ^_^

The only Popeye I know eats spinach. Still, Popeye's chicken makes sense in my head for some reason. I may be thinking of popcorn chicken though.
Speaking of battered chicken though, how does anyone eat that stuff? Bleh. 'course, only one I've had was KFC, so maybe other places are better, but it put me right off. I'll stick to burgers, thanks. :P

Boardgames Night!
We talked about making this kind of thing more common. It'd be nice as, currently, my Thursday night game is the only day I see people other than my co-workers. Need to be more proactive about that.

Speaking of the Thursday game...
So, after returning to our world, we started to piece things together. There was a three hour gap between us attempting to take down the God of Ignorance, and waking up back home, so we're not sure what happened in the interim. I still possess the knowledge of the hiding place of the last lock on our world's wards, and it hadn't been disturbed, so that's not the problem. There was nothing new on any of us, that either the Mage or my character could detect/find, so we pretty much came up blank. My last memory was lining up a shot on the GoI, the Mage's was talking to someone in a white robe that he couldn't quite remember, and the Werewolf's was dogging someone's heels in a forest, of which the Island nation had none. So, not great, but not much we could figure out what to do about it, so we went to follow up what had happened in our world while we were gone.
Turns outs, the GM has been reading a bit of the SCP (Special Containment Procedures) wiki recently, so we were in for a treat. The city the game is based in (Atlanta) had been hit by a memetic hazard, which was turning people into seeker agents, looking for the lock, or anyone who knew anything about it. The BRCK (game world equivalent of the SCP Foundation) decided our city was a write off, and was in the process of evacuating VIP's, with a bombing expected in the next few hours. So, before following up on our one lead, we split up temporarily to evacuate our families first. I felt that the best thing to do was to get started right away, best chance to save everyone, our families included, but our Mage is a smooth talker, and without everyone else behind me, I knew there was nothing I could do. So, we got our people out, gave them the bare bones of "there's crazy s@#t a happenin'", and then rode a bridge to Vegas.
I probably should write a full journal. Even looking at it, so much is "wtf?" without a little context. Oh well. :P

Yeah 7th Wonders is an interesting game (iirc - which is only vaguely, there was some interesting turn based strategy?), great news about making it a bit more regular.
Yup yup yup. Each turn, you get seven cards. You pick one, which you can discard for 3 coins, build, or turn into a stage of your Wonder. You then pass your remaining 6 cards to your left, and get the cards from the player on your right. You can buy resources from the Civilizations (players) to your left and right (your neighbours) but no one further than that. It's interesting, and good fun. I don't like competitive games in general, but I don't mind 7 Wonders.

Steam Sale has it for $3 and change. Tempting.
Steam Sale! Woo! As always, some really great deals on. Steam knows how to hit a wallet hard. I've been good so far, but there are some really tempting buys.
While asking, anyone got any co-op recommendations? Big on Payday 2 atm, and trying out Contagion. But co-op anything is good in my book, Strategy, RPG, FPS, third person.
I'd link for you MJ, but can't access Steam at work. Still, Steam, shouldn't be too hard to find. :P Castle Crashers is great, side scrolling RPG type thing, funny, and 4 player co-op. I bloody love co-op.
Speaking of Steam, any FaWtL Steam group, or general gaming? More people to team up with for heists or wave survival or a few hands of Magic is always good in my book.

Yes, I've come across this situation before on Navy bases. Even the ones in Japan.

Yeah it's the only co-op game I've ever played on Steam.
Picked up Witcher 1 and 2 myself, and got gifted La-Mulana and FF8 in addition to Castle Crashers.

I will look it up when I have money ^.^
And, a FaWtL Steam group would be interesting...
