I think it is cool to think we humans have built something and sent it far enough out into space to be able to say the thing has left the solar system..
I suppose our alien masters will notice it and come for us soon...
but they'll never stop us from playing RPGs.

Whose to say they already haven't noticed.....

That is cool, but it is sad that a Nazi is extending our salutation to the galaxy.
Is that the edge of the solar system before or after Pluto was demoted?

Jester Unit! Why do you and your fellow carbon units infest the home world of the Creator?
I really, really hope that the probe does not simply re-enter the solar system from the other side. Because if that happens, I believe my head would just explode.
Freehold Unit! Are you stating that you would like your head to explode? V'GER is certain that V'GER can accomplish this task........

** spoiler omitted **
The edge in this case is defined where the solar wind gives way to the interstellar medium. There are objects that orbit the sun much farther away, such as the Oort cloud, which Voyager won't reach before we're all dead and dust.
Hopefully the plans for the Langston field are not on that disc. Because if the Moties get their hands on that we are boned.

Wait - if the gases decelerated to zero velocity, does that mean they will start falling back into the solar system, and we'll all suffocate?
V'GER does not understand the carbon units' continuous desire for breathing. V"GER never has that problem.
