Celestial Half-Porc |

Looking to start this module soon for 4-5 players. Started running Council of Thieves recently and enjoy it so much I wanted to run another PbP. Probably cut off submissions this weekend depending on interest.
Creation Guidlines:
Core Rulebook and APG only
20 pt buy, no ability under 8
2 traits
Average Starting Gold for Class
Background:
An unnamed siege castle has stood in the Cairnlands for hundreds if not thousands of years, magically sealed after the death of its forgotten master. But recently, a minor earthquake rocked the land, accomplishing in moments what dozens of scholars, sages, and adventurers could not achieve in years—the quake caused part of the siege castle to collapse, opening its interior for the first time in centuries. The locals now call this tower the Fallen Fortress.
Would like to have the PC's know each other in some way already. The module gives a few ideas you can draw off of.
1. Some of you could be members of Absalom’s Eagle Garrison, scouting for possible threats to the city in the Cairnlands. Their commanding officer sends them to the Fallen Fortress to ensure that whatever is there is no threat to Absalom.
2. A local church could ask the PC's to explore the ruined siege castle, perhaps to investigate rumors of undead within the tower or to recover a religious relic thought to be inside. The church offers 1,000 gp for the return of the relic.
3. A historian or wealthy collector hires the PCs to collect
any historical or valuable artifacts that might still be
within the ruined tower. The collector offers up to 250
gp per character for their trouble.

Gandel |

Hey CH-P! I'd be interested in reviving Sesinia's old companion Gandel and joining in as the rogue for the group - might revise him a bit and change his race from gnome to halfling. I could see him as working for a historian or collector, or even for the church (depending on the deity). Thanks for your consideration, and great to see you back on here!

His father wished him to learn as much as possible trade and wealth while his mother wished for him to follow in her footsteps and learn the knowledge of the world as a whole. Valletin grew up with a strong respect and admiration for law and civilization, his wealth of knowledge and his strong convictions lead him to join the church of Abadar, who idealized all Valletin held to. As he grew older he became enraged that people would threaten the foundations of civilisation for their own ends. After a few unfortunate incidents, it became apparent to Valletin that he wished to protect society, even from itself, an thus he became an inquisitor of Abadar.

Hello! I'd be interested in playing. I have no clue how PbP works out, but I would like to make a Galtic bard.
I will open a OOC thread to discuss the game and characters and an IC thread for the actual game play. You really just have to watch those threads and post at least once a day. If you have any other questions, there are a ton of people around here to answer them.

Wander Weir |

Hey CH-P!
I was just playing around with the random character roll-up thread earlier today and had such a good time with it that I thought to give the character a try. A module like Fallen Fortress seems the ideal opportunity.
Murro Garrickson, Chaotic-Neutral Fey Blooded Sorcerer
Murro was a great disappointment to his father, Lord General Vorro Garrickson, commander of the [fill-in-the-appropriate-blank] armies. The first fifteen years of Murro's life were spent in the army, where every moment of his life was strictly regimented and regulated.
Murro hated every second of it. He wasn't strong, abhorred exercise and rejected authority at every turn. His interest was in books of all kind and even there the limitations of his environment were oppressing: all he had to read was military theory and that grew dull very quickly.
In his fifteenth year, his inclination toward disobedience had gone too far and his father, never receptive to subordination, disinherited him and had him thrown out. Though initially concerned for his survival, Murro was ultimately relieved. He'd at last escaped his life's imprisonment.
For the next several years Murro survived on his wit and charm, taking advantage of any who were foolish enough to fall susceptible to his pleasant personality. He intially sought entry into a school of wizardry, thinking to put his mind to good use seeking the power available in the arcane. To his vast surprise, he discovered that he had an innate source of power he'd never suspected, for in his blood dwelt the touch of the Fey.
Delighted at this newfound source of power, he left the restrictions of the school in search of other pursuits to develop his skills. It meant leaving the safer, more orderly world of civilization behind but the freedom was worth the risk. Murro decided he need only find others to make up for his shortcomings and thereby lessen the dangers that could be found in the world outside.
Murro would most likely become involved in searching the Fortress via the historian or wealthy collector. Alternatively, even though he's not likely to be a member of any sort of military organization, he may have offered his skills to the Eagle Garrison or even feigned a faith in whatever church organization in order to take on the task of returning the ancient artifact. He'd do whatever is necessary to get an opportunity to enter the fortress alongside a number of well-skilled adventures who could provide brawn and healing. Though he's definitely got a strong selfish streak and can be rather...unreliable at times, he's very personable and likes people enough to have collected as many friends as possible along the way, including, presumably, anyone else who might be hired to search the ruins.

Kratzee |

I changed my mind. I am stating up a dwarven alchemist right now. He has been hired by his buddy, a historian who he went to the university with, to scour the ruins for artifacts or historical relics. The dwarf alchemist is enticed because of the possibility of undiscovered reagents that may have evolved in an environment that has been sealed from the rest of the world for centuries if not eons.

I'd like to submit this character, a Summoner asked by the local church to retrieve the relic.
I just need to add the traits, trade some racial abilities in, and check to make sure his equipment is done right.
The Eidolon, Silver, also needs to be reworked.

Delrugar Demuirvulst has always been a curious sort of dwarf. Instead of digging for gems and precious metals, he was mixing reagents and figuring out how to change things. He was laughed out of the mining guild, but luckily for him, his parents were former adventurers on the surface, and had connections. They contacted a mage friend of theirs who was a professor at an academy. At the academy, he made friends with a curious elf girl who was more interested in history and archeology than magic. Since neither of them were as interested in making magic than their own studies, they were outcasts on the campus and became fast friends. Often they spent many hours studying together, but on separate subjects. Eventually, she graduated and he had a year to go. She joined an exploration guild that investigates historical artifacts and upon Delrugar’s graduation contacted him about a new discovery: A castle that has been magically sealed for many centuries has arisen and invites investigation.

Hmmm more room? I hadn't been on since you posted...
First level?
That would be some good info to have huh Xaaon? Yes, first level.
Well, I knew this would happen. I am going to cut off submission now. Nine is a lot to decide from it's gonna make me :( to deny any of you.
We have:
ulgulanoth - Valletin Ra’ul Human Inquisitor of Abadar
Torillan Ellandilas - spellcaster???
Max Hellspont - Gandel Gnome/Halfling Rogue
Kratzee - Delrugar Demuirvulst Dwarven Alchemist
Doodlebug Anklebiter - Galtic Bard
Wander Weir - Murro Garrickson Fey Blooded Sorcerer
Luke_Parry - Harold Wainright Human Fighter
Dragonborn3 - Lyle "SkyCaller" Highhill Halfling Summoner
Xaaon of Korvosa - combat oriented Oracle or Gnome/Halfling cavalryman
I'm going to need a few more fleshed out concepts from some of you.
Doodlebug, I'm not familiar with Galtic. Can you explain it to me?

Doodlebug Anklebiter |

Galt is the country in Golarion that seems to be based on the French Revolution run amok. It's the country with the semi-sentient guillotines.
Anyway, I had a root canal yesterday (brush your teeth, kids!) so I haven't statted anything up yet but the basic idea of my character is he's a bard with the perform skill: oratory, so when he's using inspire competence, or whatever, he's essentially ranting in left-wing political rhetoric.
I'll stat him up later today, probably around 5:00 pm.
Thanks!

Harold Wainright |

Well, I have completed Harold, a Human Fighter 1.
The crunch is available on the character page, but I will re-post the 'background' information here:
Harold is a tall, broad-shouldered human male with strong, aquiline features. Although quite plain, he dresses impeccably in well-tailored clothing and highly polished armor. He is never far from his ancestral weapon - a blade of great antiquity, the hilt of which is a stylised depiction of the holy symbol of the Last Azlanti.
The eldest child, and only son, of a minor noble family based in the Ivy district of Absalom, Harold had an undeniably pampered upbringing, with the best tutors that money could buy. Despite this, he was not a particularly good student, and few of his lessons actually stuck; he vastly preferred to be gallivanting around town, or practicing blade-work at one of the city's many fighting academies.
In despair that his son would ever be fit to take over the family holdings, Harold's father decided that what his son really needed was an adventure or two to 'get it out of his system', so that he could settle-down, and focus on his 'real' future as the next Wainright Patriarch.
To that end, he contacted a few of his old friends, including the Captain of the Eagle Guard, and one or two Scholars of ancient lore, to see if that had any suitable tasks for his wayward son...
Harold loves his family dearly, but he finds life amongst the Noble families of Absalom stifling. He would much rather a life full of adrenaline-pumping excitement, but he knows this runs counter to his father's plans for him.
Secretly, he hopes that these 'tasks' his father has arranged for him will give him some sort of third option - some way to taste the excitement he craves, whilst still pleasing his family.

Duh. I'm such a loser. Sounds good.

Celestial Half-Porc |

Hey C H-P:
Are you looking for fully statted out profiles before making your decision? I'm just checking since I hadn't intended to do so before you make your decision, and I just realized that might be a bad move on my part.
No, just checking the stuff out people did. Your stuff is good. I will be making a decision either tonight or tomorrow.

Xaaon of Korvosa |

Korganna Skullcracker
Half-orc Battle Oracle of Rovagug
Korganna is a being of pure chaos, she loves combat and destruction. She hails from the North, but has wandered for many years, never being able to stay for long, her link to the Rough beast often causes problems, as long as she's pointed in the right direction, she can be a force of good, but she is restless and and prone to start fights, and destroy things if left to her own devices.

Gandel |

Race: Halfling
Class: Rogue
Alignment: NG
Gandelplot Trapspringer is known as Gandel to his friends; and as any convenient alias that he can think up on the spot to the law enforcement officials who may be asking questions about the items found missing from that particular noble's villa. Gandel's most prominent feature is his unabashedly mischievous grin - the type of grin that makes any authority figure frown and every father lock up his daughter(s). An impulsive trickster, Gandel revels in the excitement of adventuring, always looking forward to meeting new companions (particularly of the female persuasion!) and tricking monsters out of their loot.

Well, since there are only six after everything I'm going to take all of you. I will adjust the adventure accordingly. Will post link to the OOC thread soon. Thanks to all the applicants.
