Relative in Canada has cancer in her foot. I was thinking it would be caused by some Nuclear Particle picked up in the shoes she wore every day or perhaps as a consequence of some shoe stores x-raying your feet to discern their size?

I hate to break this to you but shoes stores have not used or been allowed to use x-ray machines since the 1950's. Early 1950's.

Well, at least she has national health care to help foot the bill. In the US she would get the boot.

Oh and more importantly I hope that they are better soon. The big C is not a fun thing for a person to go through.

Funny, we have more than a few Canadians in M.D. Anderson. Wonder why they're here? Didn't want to wait? Quality of care?

Oh, and M.D. Anderson takes free cases all the time. Part of their charter.

That is aweful. Exactly what kind of cancer is it?

*rimshot*

Yeah, I've only had my feet x-rayed twice, and that's because I broke one of the small fleshy bits of it.

So, yeah. Ignoring everything else, hopefully she gets better soon.

Sorry, I didn't mean to shoehorn political commentary into this thread.

Cancer of the Foot? I dont know - Only that she needed an Operation to remove the sucker and I think Kemo and drugs to brutalize the hell out of it...so it must have been particularly bad.

I'd ask if we could put a sock in all the jokes but...
