Need help finding PC minis.

Liberty's Edge

In short, I am having a difficult time finding minis for my PC's as they are all quite unique.
The party consists of...

*A human male bard, with 1 part shortsword, 1 part whip, 1 part Dragon Disciple
*A half-elf male monk (I've already found some potentials for this one)
*A half-elf Ulfen based ranger with two swords
*A young human male wizard with a cane (this one isn't as difficult as they others)
*A human male rogue, 1 part Chelish nobleman, 1 part archer
*A female gnome (halfling models will work too) from Alkenstar, who uses a giant rifle.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

Willing to glue/paint or are you looking for prepainted plastics?

Sovereign Court

Well, if you can't find what you are looking for at Reaper's ... chance is that the option does not exist.

(not that I don't like other manufacturers, just judging from the size of the catalog).

If you are looking for metal minis and willing to do a little easy conversion, this shouldn't be too hard. As stereofm says, a great place to start is Reaper's figure finder

Trick is DON'T look for weapons. Look for gender, race (include elves for searches for half-elves), and general armor type (clothes/leather/chain/plate--that kind of thing).

If you find one that looks right but doesn't have quite the right weapon, just clip or file it off. If you are comfortable/familiar with conversion you can glue or model on new weapons (Reaper sells many weapon packs for this purpose) or otherwise just leave off the "wrong" weapon and use your imagination. Of course it's always nice when you find just the right model, but this helps if you're having poor luck.

Some suggestions:

For the human bard:

This bard is lovely--just file down the sword a little so it's shorter. If you can find a way to do it that doesn't look silly, glue a whip from a weapon pack or a roll of string or wire to his waist to be his whip.

This guy might work if you clip off the grapple and paint the rope as a whip instead.

This guy might also work -- clip off one of the blades and keep the other as the short sword. If you can do conversion, drill a hole into the guy's hand that you clip the sword off and insert some wire or string for the whip.

And this not-Indy has a machete and a whip if you don't mind the modern look, or you can just buy the whip bit if you like it.

And this guy is empty handed but at least it's not wrong, and he looks quite dapper.

Half-elf Ranger:
Just a search in the figure finder for "elf ranger" will produce tons of elves with two swords. This one here looks appropriately half-elvish.

The Female Gnome is hard; there may be some steampunk lines that work well.

At Reaper, the best I could come up with is something like this gal with the knife carefully filed off, and then buy a weapons pack and work in the rifle.

Don't have more time to look now but I hope that helps.

I play Warhammer 40k, or rather, build armies for the hobby of it rather than play it as much. I take a little pride in doing custom work for every model in my armies, from the Big Badd Ass hero (HQ) to the lowly grunt. So yes, I'm ok with doing a little surgery on my minis :)
