In the last 4 years, the following have happened to my appartment
the bay-window in my bedroom comming through twice
The kitchen flooded twice (once by the angry man damaging pipes when he did a runner, once by the guy who replaced him messing up the shower)
the central heating system completly dying once - and the whole thing needing replacing
three other leeks into my bedroom arround the bay window
bedroom flooding when the kitchen above bust a leek
and the double-disaster when my toilet was broken, and the first plumber ended up leaving it with a drip
Anyway, today i've got home from work (in fareness, in an all-mighty downpour) to find my bedroom full of water, the the flat roof ABOVE my bay window being as water-tight as a teabag
water just pouring through
now, the water has stopped comming, and once the last few drips have dripped, I'm going to start on the clean-up - my sister is giving me the number of a good roofer/builder to repair the damage up above, and I'm going to ask him to build a false-gable over the bay to keep the water out in future
however, HOW can one small appartment have so many water-related disasters?
barring the supernatural, that is!

I've been there before with one bedroom window that refused to stay whole(I had to semi-seal it shut), a toilet that consistantly overflowed, and a heater that alternated between near-fusion levels of heat and not working at all. All during the first year in that apartment.
I mean no sarcasm at all when I say good times. It taught me alot about myself and making the best of a bad situation.

since its an apartment and not a house that you have a mortage on why don't you just move and tell the landlord to stick his disaster of an apartment up his butt? 2 leaks of the manitude you're talking about and i'd have been gone. of course if you can see the eiffle tower and the grand canyon from the place then you might wanna stay
