WOW. You're really out of the loop... He's been doing the show since 2009.

..I just discovered that a few minutes ago. My members had quite the laugh at my expense.

Did you know Joss Whedon will direct The Avengers?
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggh!!!!

Guess not...

Let's see how far he's been under the rock, shall we?

Did you know that Al Franken was elected to Congress?

I mean this in good humor, by the way...

Why yes, I briefly emerged from under this here rock to vote for him.
ahhh.. we can narrow down your rock-stay a bit more. You voted for him, but did you know it took him almost a year to take office because Norm wouldn't quit? :D
Or that the Twins have a new stadium?

Dammit, that proposition passed?!?! I've got to make a few phone calls...

So I'm getting off of one of the worst cold (sick) days I've had in a long time. I'm at work (for better or worse).

You ever find that when you are sick, there is little that you actually care about? I'm struggling right now to keep motivated.

You should use one of your forties. After you've finished it, that is.

Some of the skinny jeans I've seen people wearing look like they were made for an emu, actually...

Awright folks, time for this DM to head home. It's the end of the month and I finished up the paperwork I'd been tapping away at steadily, so I spent the last half hour at work looking over Dunkelzahn's will. Hilarious and interesting stuff in there. I do hope he really isn't dead.

See everyone upon the morrow.

Heh... I've been re-reading that myself as part of a project I'm doing for the Dumpshock forums. Some interesting stuff in there.

I'm curious as to how Kirth will respond. I know he has some fairly strong opinions on it. Kind of interested in SP's take on it as well.

Heh heh. I have a friend who is a poet that I used to entertain with various parodies of student poetry I used to hear in college. It always cracked me up how many people tried to be "avant-garde" by trying imitate the edginess of, say, Allen Ginsburg, without realizing that there is nothing at all avant-garde about imitating 50-year-old poetry. I took a lot of creative writing classes, but was never better than okay at writing poetry, but I got good at imitating other people's...

I can't write poetry or anything creative even if my life depended on it.

Don't tell me you're one of those conspiracy theorists who thinks he faked his assassination, do you? There are a few weird bugs in the data surrounding his death, but that doesn't mean he's sitting on a beach somewhere drinking margaritas with Elvis. What's next, Renraku is secretly controlled by the Illuminati?

Actually, according to The Dragon Heart Saga books, he apparently became a free spirit that was bonded to a CyberZombie who wound up on the metaplanes using a magical relic to keep the Horrors at bay and erasing Mana 'spike points'.

Not so... He's erasing the 'memory' of the spikes to prevent the horrors from crossing over early. It's actually detailed a bit in Harlequinn's Return as well. ;)

I wish I'd seen this sooner, but I'm gearing up to game tonight. I'll try to get at it more later. For now, it's just a brief on how majority cannot be the source of law. A few days ago I made a post about how I think humanity derives morality without necessity for a divine being. It was a while back, maybe see if you can find it? I'll put my philosophy pants back on later.

I will not respond to him again. His last response to me really showed me how much an @$$ he truly is. His comment about how nothing in the Bible should need to be taken in context really got to me. I could be an @$$ back, but it would devolve into a shouting match. He's out to "prove" that Christians are morons.

This is exactly what I was talking about up page. Don't let him get to you, we both know he'll come around. He sounds very much like a kid, a lot of kids take that stance only to find out that there are certain things that are really very wrong or can be applied nearly universally, such as the Golden Rule.

Just be patient, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I almost made the "what are you? 12?" comment. My nine year old son has all the answers too. If he does "come around", it won't be because of me. (Although I may take some of his comments "out of context" to see if it's important.)

I kind of miss it too. Dirk Gently says he's going to be back on the boards starting soon (after a two-year hiatus), so we could probably start tag-teaming it again.

Where in the CRD is the conversation? I'd like to take a read.

I think I misunderstood what you asked...

It depends. Someone new came on and basically said that all religion was crap because of "moral absolutism" (or some such). Hard to figure out because he came out of the chute hot and strong and wasn't really talking about anything specific. Clarifications have pretty well been useless. I'm trying to get a different take on what people feel is "moral" and where it becomes more "moral" to force it on others. Something that a lot of people kind of bring up but don't really address -- at least not clearly.
