Just got done with MotFF for the Free RPG Day PFS game at my local shop (Enchanted Grounds).
While it was fun--the DM had created a wooden, 5-level tower to use for this adventure and that added a real visual element of fear of falling if nothing else--the one thing I noticed was that the MotFF PreGen Adv PG characters all seemed to be 15pt builds.
Yet, by PFS rules, players could opt to create a new 1st-level PFS character with the default 20pt build--so you could have created APG characters with 20pts or play the pregens with only 15.
As it was, we had a mix, with four playing the 15pt pregens, and two playing 1st-level 20pt PFS characters. While that wasn't wholly unbalanced, it was an odd choice...Did anyone else notice this, and was this intentional?

REALLY?
Damiel-Alchemist : Str12, Dex15, Con12, Int17, Wis8, Cha10
+2 +7 +2 +13 -2 0 = 22pts.
Alain-Cavalier : Str17, Dex13, Con14, Int8, Wis10, Cha12
+13 +3 +5 -2 0 +2 = 21pts.
Imrijka-Inquisitor: Str16, Dex12, Con13, Int10, Wis15, Cha8
+10 +2 +3 0 +7 -2 = 20pts.
Alahazra-Oracle: Str10, Dex14, Con8, Int13, Wis12, Cha17
0 +5 -2 +3 +2 +13 = 21pts.
Balazar-Summoner: Str6, Dex13, Con12, Int14, Wis12, Cha17
-5 +3 +2 +5 +2 +13 = 20pts.
Feiya-Witch: Str8, Dex14, Con12, Int17, Wis10, Cha13

Actually, while I don't have the pregens, when I look at your examples I think if you take out the racial modifiers you will find the Elite Array (8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15) and I think that adds to 15 points.
It seems PFS is run on 20 point, but the APs are set for baseline 15. Not that big a deal, really, as each group will run what they want, but it is a little inconsistent and confusion will arise.

My bad! I guess 4am is a little early for math...

The pregenerated characters for modules and adventure paths are built using 15 points; while Master of the Fallen Fortress does have the option to be played as a PFS module, it's mainly written as a regular PFRPG module, which is probably why 15 points was chosen rather than 20.

The pregens for this module were statted up like all of our iconics, using the preset ability scores for "heroic" NPCs (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8), which is equivalent to a 15 point buy.
As Are said above, this is a Pathfinder Module that is suitable for play as a "special" introductory Pathfinder Society scenario, so it doesn't follow all of the standards and formats of a regular Pathfinder Society scenario (you'll notice there are no tiers or faction missions in the module as well, for that reason).

Gotcha, that explains it, thanks!
