"Ima gonna hold onta tha healin spells till we get into out camp, mighten be trouble onna road."
(to Erdukk & Tiana)
"Crommard fer sure seemed tah recognize tha half-orc or some features o tha orc. Mighten it have been disguised tah look human when Crommard an tha others knew him, or maybe some magic made him thata way."
Sanstree eyes Crommard with suspicion about the worthless replica

Edrukk shrugs, "S' be 't. I think gettin' back t' town is more important, but we can be talkin' while we 'r walkin', I guess. It's not like 'e doesn't know yer talkin' about 'im, th' way ye keep lookin' at 'im. Tiana, I'd rather we 'ad yer eyes on the trail 'cause yer more likely t' see surprises. If'n th' rest o' ye feel ye canna wait 'til Wolfstone, I'll watch th' other side."
Broccan Dunchad
(Broccan falls in behind Tiana for the march home. He follows the conversation about Crommard, and appears concerned, but voices no opinion.)
Broccan watches for trouble, javelin in hand.

Canvy walks back with Erine, "Now yer see this is how yer hold it when yer fire, you got that." As Canvy tries to teach Erine how to use a crossbow. He is not actively looking for anything on the way back, but will be concentrating his efforts on Erine, whether she likes them or not.

Canvy walks back with Erine, "Now yer see this is how yer hold it when yer fire, you got that." As Canvy tries to teach Erine how to use a crossbow. He is not actively looking for anything on the way back, but will be concentrating his efforts on Erine, whether she likes them or not.
Erine is silent for a moment when Canvy makes the offer. Then, Goat butts her lightly, and she looks up at the human. She smirks. "Utna kralik tvin*. It's all well and good to learn the noble ways of killing, but if I did want to learn them, I'd pick somebody I could even remotely stand to teach me. I don't like you, and I don't like your attitude. I don't approve of your methods, and I have no fondness for your worship. Go teach somebody who does, and can, and has."
She turns and walks away. Goat pauses to bray scornfully at Canvy before following.Although she is still neutral, she is a pacifist, and for her own reasons she doesn't like Lamashtu. Sorry about that. :P

Canvy not used to this sort of attitude, in fact doesn't understand it at all, pursues Erine, trying to interest her and teach her about the crossbow. He tries to talk to her about what happened against the orcs, the danger she was in, letting her know that her not wanting to fight others, won't stop them killing her and sometimes you have no choice. Its not about war, its about self survival. His blue eyes shine as he talks to her. If she mentions Lamashtu, he will genuinely have no idea what she is talking about.
Broccan Dunchad
(Broccan is clearly still not fully healed, but he holds his tongue until all others have had ample time to request Sanstree's assistance. If no one else comes forward, he requests healing from Sanstree.)
"I'm still not ov'r the drubbin' I took from th'last big fella. I'd be apreciative of whatev'r y'can do, boy-o."
Heal check:
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Find two group members who need a healing spell cast on them.
"We hav made it back now who needs a healin?"
Sanstree will also check Alex and Crommard for injuries.
"Yer a good 'un, lad. Good use o' yer resources. I'm thinkin' th' lass and Broccan were still injured when we set out. Crommard? 'ow fare ye?"
Edrukk's channels were not spectacular, but they may well have taken care of Crommard and Alex. Edrukk would have refused him further healing beyond that because he feels like the kid brought the last fight onto us by firing when he didn't need to. And after the madman even told him not to!
Black Tom
Alex does not respond well to being told off and eventually storms off, but not before making a very meaningful gesture in Crommard's direction, that involves cocking an invisible crossbow.
Probably for the best anyway. He was just one colorful individual too many.
You get some help from Allustan, the local mage, in identifying the magic items. The cloak is a Cloak of Protection +1, the scroll bears one spell:Locate Object (arcane) and the vial is Silversheen. Hope that helps.

Erine seems rather befuddled when Canvy doesn't understand her mention of Lamashtu. "You've been praying to her all this time, Canvy," she says.
Sense Motive check: 1d20+2
Is he faking?
Canvy looks at Erine confused his blue eyes shining bright, his hair pushed into place, without his stomach full of whiskey and his calm persona, he seems a far more approachable man, or should I say soldier. His back is straight, his baring is authoritative and confident, without the overbearing self importance of a noble. A man of common stock, who has or had made a good life for himself. Yet there in the background is a shadow, something not quite right. He answers "Not that I remember little one, following that god brings madness and curses.", but he sort of stutters of the last words, as though he is trying to remember something.

Alex does not respond well to being told off and eventually storms off, but not before making a very meaningful gesture in Crommard's direction, that involves cocking an invisible crossbow.
Very matter-of-factly, Edrukk's words follow the retreating hot-headed young man. "'ere now, lad. We're not tryin' t' upset ye, we're tryin' t' 'elp ye survive. N' need t' go off 'n a 'uff. But if'n 'at was a threat t' someone travelin' wit' us, I 'ope ye decide better o' 't. I'd 'ate t' 'ave t' kill a man I'd used Gorum's blessin' on 'cause 'e couldna keep 'is temper 'n check."
I'm fine with selling everything other than maybe keeping a case of the bolts as extra ammunition. And that's not strictly necessary, either.

I believe we are in Wolfstone rather than the mining camp. The man that identified the magic gear for us, Allustan, is probably the man you are looking for.
Sanstree
(good call)
Sanstree approaches Allustan the local mage
"Allustan can I have a bit o yer time I have been awantin tah learn tha ways o tha wizard an thought yerself could help me with that process."
"I ama druid an iffin thar is somethin I can elp yerself with then maybe I can learn from ye."
Broccan Dunchad
Assuming that the sale of weapons and armor has taken place
"The temple ov'r there shou' be willin' t' sellus some healin' swag. If there's anythin' left, I'd be mosta'preciative o' bett'r armor. I'mno use t'anyone layin' aroun' bleedin' smuch as I been."
(He gives the money to Edrukk and Tiana, as everyone else seems distracted.)
"I needa hot bath'na cole drink. M'thinkin' the Emporium."
Erine Wintyle
Erine stares at Canvy. Then she nods, and wanders off to think.

Erine shrugs. "No thank you...leave him alone. There's something...don't worry, I'll, um, be fine." She keeps walking, glancing at Goat every now and then. She seems a bit...uncertain.
Broccan Dunchad
(After a bath and a drink at the Emporium, Broccan heads across the way to his old digs, the Feral Dog. Once there, he commiserates with a few old mining acquaitances, and asks around for anyone interested in a friendly boxing or drinking match.)
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Back into civilisation, there's only one place for Canvy to go first, he makes for the nearest bar and has a drink or three. He invites Edrukk along with him, with stories of the exploits at Forcastle Watch.
I thought we were not roleplaying the return to town...
Edrukk accepts the responsibility of purchasing the healing gear and prepares to head to the temple once he's cleaned up.
Edrukk looks at Canvy for a long moment before responding. "I 'ave some business t' be tendin' t', first. Once 't be done, I c'n join ye."
Edrukk will get a room and clean himself up for presentation at a temple; even if it is not one dedicated to Gorum, it deserves his respect.
That done, he will head to the temple to purchase healing magic, depending on what is available.
Black Tom
There is no temple to Gorum in town, but the temple of Irori should be able to cater to your healing needs. You can buy most potions and wands there.
Allustan is happy to take on Sanstree as an apprentice.
Although the mine managers are generally unscrupulous, there is no thieves' guild as such in Wolfstone. At least not any that you know of.
Edrukk Thorvirgun
@Broccan: How much money did you give me to spend?
@Tiana: Are you accompanying Edrukk to the Temple of Irori?
Discussion regarding what he's buying on the discussion thread...

814 gold pieces, plus whatever was in the two coin purses (summoner and big orc).
Sanstree
Sorry Erdukk there were RP things that had to happen, especially with next level so close!
Sanstree will be learning rudiments of magic, maybe with assistance making his blank spellbook a little less blank, or trading the blank one to Allustan
"Allustan thanks fer yer tutulage inna ways o magic."
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Understandable, especially for Sanstree. I just didn't expect the more mundane stuff...
By my calculations, we had 130 gp from the orcs. How much of that has been handed out to the party already?

None, to my knowledge.
Black Tom
As might be expected there is indeed an alchemist's shop in Wolfstone. The temple of Irori has a cleric with Brew Potion, so you can get most divine potions at the usual prices as well as a CLW wand should you want one.
As for Crommard's and Canvy's behavior that is really not a question Allustan can answer. You'd probably do better asking Crommard and Canvy themselves.
Sanstree
Well at least I am taking magical curses off of my list and possibly local rumor
Sanstree searches for Broccan
"Broccan are ye ready tah return tah tha citadel?, I think Erdukk was gonna buy us a wand o curin. I fer lettin tha we lass keep a hold a tha wand."
Broccan Dunchad
(Sanstree finds Broccan in the Feral Dog. Broccan buys him an ale, and greets him warmly.)
"Ready when'evr, boy-o. I was hopin' someone'd wanna box, or else tryin' drink me unner d'table, bu' no'one's bitin' t'day."
Black Tom
Since I will be away for the next week and I have the advantage of running two parties in the same campaign world, I thought it might be fun for you to come together in the Feral Dog and swap some war stories or something. Maybe Broccan can find someone to drink him under the table.
The Feral Dog is known for its dog-fights and brawls, sometimes lethal. The ale is bad, but it's cheap and the place is crowded on paydays. This particular day it also happens to be crowded with adventurers.
Canvy Mandrain

Canvy his eyes heavy with ale, tries to get up as Broccan and Sanstree enter the Feral Dog. The drink heads for his legs, making him unstable until his weight is all wrong and the legs give way. He sinks to the floor in a drunken state, unconscious.
I'm away now til Monday, and not keen on meeting any paladins just yet.
Broccan Dunchad
(to Sanstree, deliberately, and loudly)
"All th' mean'st louts come in 'ere, bu' nunnof 'm can outdrink me, an' mosta 'm 'r too lazy t'put up'a fight inna a boxin' match!"
Edrukk Thorvirgun
Edrukk comes into the Feral Dog and looks around for his friends. He sees two of them and heads toward them, not spotting the prone madman until he's almost atop him.
"Ach, 'e waits fer n' man 'r dwarf when 'tis time fer th' ale t' flow, does 'e?" With that, he pulls the man back against the bar in a seated position, hoping to reduce the chances of another drunk falling on him.
"'n 'at d'ye think we oughta be doin' wit' 'im?" He signals the 'keep for an ale, gives it a try, and mutters, "'e got drunk 'n 'is? I'm not sure me father's father could even drink enough..."
"Oh, th' lass 'n I found 'at we were lookin' fer. Nice place, if'n way t' quiet. 'n th' smith said 'e 'ad just 'at ye're lookin' fer, lad. Said 'e'd be 'appy t' show ye tomorro' after ye blow off some steam. Th' lass drives a 'ard bargain. 'e didn't want t' be dealin' wit' ye sight-unseen, but she talked 'im int' 't."
This is the first time you've ever seen the dwarf without his huge sword, but his mace still hangs comfortably at his belt.
Wand of Cure Light Wounds (Erine), Breastplate (Broccan), Potion of Shield of Faith (Canvy), 7 gp left over (Edrukk)
Valgrim Twin-Axe
A sweaty Valgrim walked into the Feral Dog, looking around for his mates, but he seemed to be the first to arrive. He had to admit he was in a good mood. He was always euphoric after spending some time at the anvil. The pounding of the steel blade, the heat from the forge, he just loved it. I need a drink and soon! Scanning over the crowd, he saw many adventurers in the place today. Too many trained men in sword and spell in one room is just asking for trouble! Oh well, it wasn't his bar, so why should he care? He unconsciously felt for his 2 axes to make sure they were close if he needed them. You can never be too careful. And if Kullen was not in a friendly mood that night with the information he needed, then things might get violent. Not that he worried about violence. His bulging arms and broad shoulders usually kept the riff-raff away from him. But for now, he motioned to a waitress and got a table/booth in the corner for he and his mates and waited for them. In the meantime, he ordered an ale and waited and scanned the crowd for trouble.
Hey, I'm from BT's other game, passing through this conjunction of the worlds! :-)
