Today is that day of the year where I get to celebrate my birthday. I get the great pleasure of sharing that same day (even the same year!) with N'wah! Now, I love my birthday, I really do, but this year is different. And I know it's cheezy to some people, but for me it has great significance. I turn 28. On the 28th. This is the only time in my life when this will occur. I certainly hope today will be epic. Spend time with my friends, drink wine that I made with other friends, and just have a good time.
So, Happy Birthday to me and N'wah!

Twins!
Years ago one of my friends asked me to pick up her shift because it was going to be her birthday. I told her I couldn't because it was mine as well. We were both born on the same day, and actually only like 20 minutes apart. We spent every birthday together for the next 7-ish years until she moved to Brooklyn. We loved telling folks we were twins just to see the look on their faces. Me: skinny white guy. Her: strong black woman.
