Agree or disagree.

Number 1 was funny.

Dark Archive

But there is a serious degree of truth to it.

#1 is absolutely true.

As for the rest - only Dixie should be on the list. She was funny.

I'll take that as approval. :)

Most of us guys are pretty simple that way - find a girl who shares a geeky hobby we are passionate about and she instantly gains a +5 CHA enhancement bonus.

One of the sexiest, non-sexy, things a woman ever said to me was, "Can I borrow one of your 20's? I'm gonna crit that b!&@!"

I think Viconia should have been higher up the list, but otherwise, yeah, I approve. Though I admit I always like the original artwork for Goldmoon that was on the cover of Dragons of Autumn Twilight. Then again, I'm a sucker for Larry Elmore and Clyde Caldwell artwork.

I strongly disagree with every single item on that list. (Okay, I'll concede #1...)

There's no doubt in my mind that the hottest Dragonlance character is Silvara. Did you ever see the cover of DL7 (Dragons of Light)? Dang! I mean, dang!

And if you're going to bring up BECMI rulebooks, who could choose any picture over that tiger-trainer in the 1983 Expert Rules? Well, maybe that flying magic-user in the same book would be close...

I would go on, but I just realized that every candidate that comes to my mind was drawn by Larry Elmore. (Except for the cover of Van Richten's Guide to Werebeasts.) I guess that list wouldn't be enough variety for most people's tastes.

Yeah, Goldmoon and Laurana would seem acceptable choices. But Kitiara does nothing for me.

Sovereign Court

MMMmmm Lolth on the cover of the "Queen of the Spiders" compilation.

I liked the female lead from DC 1980's comic "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons", seen here. I don't remember her name and all I could find on it was the covers.

No love for Iggwilv? Especially after her cover shot, I'm disappointed.

Though yes, I have to second my agreement with #1.

The Exchange

What? No 1st edition Blibdoolpoolp? Bogus!

Silvara = Jenny, he he

Where's that dwarf tempest from Complete Warrior?

Liberty's Edge

Morgan Ironwolf was a series blast of nostalgia, as was the Bone Hill chick.

Well, for one, Morgan isn't from the BECMI rules, she's from the Cook/Moldvay Basic, not Mentzer's Basic.

*shrug*

#1 for sure. As for the other spots on the list, Kitiara, Alias, Cattie-Brie, and Viconia all belong, however I'd see Lady Aribeth de Tylmarande (NWN), and Tika Waylan (in chainmail with the frying pan) added.

Silvara was teh hotness, however Jenny = Seoni (or will be within the next few weeks). ;)

Okay, technically true. The point is that, in my mind, Morgan can't compete with them.

In my efforts to choose pictures other than those by Larry Elmore, I thought of "Huddle Farm" in Dungeon magazine #12. It has 3 pictures of an adventuring party, one of whose members is a woman wearing big earrings and a tight leather outfit. She has blond hair (well, technically white, but in the black & white art, I assume it was meant to represent blond hair.) Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

And... I'm not sure if this comes close to Elmore's art, but how about the Nymph in the 3.0 Monster Manual? The succubus in the 3.5 MM?

But one Elmore picture keeps coming to my mind, but I don't know if this one qualifies, because... well, she's a centaur, and I'm weirding myself out by mentioning that one. I'm referring to the centaur in the 3.5 Dragonlance Campaign Setting book.

You mean Jenny Poussin? I didn't know she had ever played, or dressed up as, Silvara.

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32

Aside from #1 I have to disagree.

Here is why: Each of the others are really "fictional characters" (at most) so it really depends on the particular illustrator how she will look.

So, how can you rank the "hawtness" of a particular character? It will be so subjective that any ranking won't matter.

Spoiler:
There is even a problem with #1. "Gamer Chicks" are not that rare.

Mine too. *we're so lucky*

I totally called Morgan Ironwolf - I knew she would be on that list. And I knew there would be comments about her awesome hair and how her nips were visible through her chainmail. That's impressive/weird/scary/hawt. Hmm.

Peace,

tfad

It was a general comparison, and i think Silvara predates Jenny by a few years, so she may not have even heard of her but she certainly could model Goldmoon, he he

Another one that didn't make the list was a chainmail bikini warrioress from the original Isle of Dread adventure module that came with the D&D Expert Rules Box Set.
