All right Mr. James Jacobs, Mr. Rob McCreary and Mr. F. Wesley Schneider who's the Dr. Who fan?
I flaged on it when I read the first presentation and confirmed it with "The Blind Angels".
I just loved that episode, it was a great spook using almost nothing as special effects.
It's certainly not me. It's probably not Wes. My guess would be Rob. Especially since Rob wrote the gargoyle chapter.

Sorry had to make it right. Just remember, Don't Blink. Blink and you're dead.

That was Rob, though Erik, Lisa, Jason, Crystal and I are all fans... and I made sure Gary has seen every episode of the new series, but I'm not sure if he'd like to be publicly tagged as a fan.

If those "unexplained disappearances" work the same way they do in the show, what a great way to set up a time-travel adventure wherein the PCs get to take place in the past of Golarion! Of course, there's the railroady aspect of forcing the PCs to lose to the angels in order to set up the action ... unless you were to have a known NPC fall victim and contact the PCs from beyond the grave a la Sally Sparrow's friend.
My husband and I were discussing what the game mechanics of the angels would look like. A touch attack, obviously, but how would you simulate not blinking? Con check with gradually-increasing DCs?

Well, thank you very much Rob and all those who helped him I really enjoyed the surprise pop-up of the reference!
It was part of the "me" time in Cuba last week (I think I got one or two hours total for me if I exclude the time with the kids!).
And Andrew, "The Blind Angels" was the ref. in the book but thanks for the title of the episode.
