I just picked up a copy of the nWOD rules, and I am having trouble figuring out how to make a character sheet. I may be missing something, but how many points do you have to determine abilities, skills, etc?
It is all on the Bottom of the Character Sheet, and described starting on Page 34.

No, those are not the categories. The categories are Mental, Physical, and Social, and are grouped by the three black boxes on the character sheet. Why the sheet does not label them the same way it is done on page 42, I do not know. But anyway, you assign 5 points to one of those three categories, four to the next and three to the third one. Then you split those points between the three attributes in each category. So if you assign the five to Mental, then you could put two of those five into Intelligence, two into Wits and one into Resolve. And if for some reason you want to max out one of the attributes when creating the character, then the final dot costs two points and not one, meaning you could have a 5 Intelligence but only a 1 in both Wits and Resolve.

I just wanted to point out that as far as I recall, this is only during character creation. Later, with XP, it isn't double.
