Male The rules don't contain a specific for a mix of all races..... Drafter 20/Father 8

Sorry everyone, I have been out of town and starting a new job. I am going to try and get back on regular posting now. Again, sorry for the silence.

Sovereign Court

The troglodytes look back at Caelwyn with widened eyes at his command, and while the closest rushes towards the enchanted human, the other backs away uncertainly (to C3 and A6 respectively.)

Touch Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13, Grapple 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

The troglodyte who engaged Lemedor reaches out to grab him, but fails to establish a hold on the animal handler, who steps aside (to A4) and mindlessly fires his bow towards Levistus.

Attack 1d20 + 6 - 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 - 6 = 19, 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

The arrow impacts the sorcerer, but the cover provided by Caelwyn prevents it from piercing anything vital.

Levistus is up, I don't think need to make a concentration check since you've already completed the spell, just waiting to release it.

Sovereign Court

Calix:

Spoiler:
OK, sounds good. Just reminding you it took a full round action to cast the spell. If he had enough time than yes he is where he is and no concentration check was necessary however if he got shot while still back at 55' feet than he would need one. Not sure if the angles would allow for a shot at him at 55' feet. So putting all that out there just to make sure we are on the same page. Here's a concentration check just in case.

Concentration: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 Which I believe makes it exactly anyway.

Sovereign Court

Levistus:
No problem, I forgot about the move. You make the concentration check, so you can complete the spell as a move action this round.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Hissing in pain as the arrow strikes him Levistus' brow furrows in concentration as he completes his spell....

Sovereign Court

Levistus:
Do you want to target just Lemedor, or all three of them? Also, you'll need to move to E7 to get them in range.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Calix:

Spoiler:
He moves to there and releases the spell. He tries to effect all of them.

Sovereign Court

Sorry about the delay, I've been to a wedding.

Levistus:
If you can't affect them all due to the number of HD affected, in which order do you want to target them?

As you stride forwards, you are assaulted by a wave of foul smelling air, you manage to keep your concentration enough to release the spell, but it is extremely unpleasant. Please can you make a Fort save.

Rolls:
1d20 ⇒ 1,1d20 ⇒ 6,1d20 - 2 ⇒ (9) - 2 = 7

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Calix:

Spoiler:
Ok, he'll start with the man and then it goes for the next closest thing which would be the trog trying to grapple him.

Roll:Fortitude: 1d20 ⇒ 10

Sovereign Court

Levistus is sickened for 10 rounds.

Lemedor and the Troglodyte assailing him both lower their guard and turn to stare blankly at Levistus.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Ok, if he still has a standard action he will Daze the remaining trog. If not, than well his turn is over.

Almost retching, "Quickly... disable that last trog. My spell won't last long."

Sovereign Court

Levistus wrote:

unfortunately, it took a move action to get into position and another action to complete the spell.

rolls:
2d4 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

Sovereign Court

Olomorn is up, followed by Alerion

The Exchange

I'll be flying on business for most of tommorrow - so my intent is to move up as close as I can and swing at one of the baddies. I know this may take a turn or two....

Attack = 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Damage = 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Want to roll to confirm that crit before you go?

Thovar will attempt to attack the trog that isn't under the effects of the spell: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19; damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10. He will charge, if need be, in order to get into melee this round.

Sovereign Court

Olomorn and Thovar rush towards the Troglodyte stood in the main channel of the sewer, Thovar reaches the creature first and slams into it with his warhammer, causing it to growl in a mixture of surprise and pain.

Olomorn double moves to E8 while Thovar charges to B7.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

Howahhhh!

Another roll for crit damage 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Sovereign Court

oops, forgot to ask Olo and Thovar for saves...
Olomorn 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Thovar 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Neither of you are sickened.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Ok, where are we in the party order. Things seem to be a little out of the original order. Calix could you clarify please so we don't stand around thinking someone else should be going.

Sovereign Court

Alerion is up. The curent order is:

Caelwyn, Trogs, Lemedor, Levistus, Olomorn, Thovar, Alerion

I'll give Alerion until tonight to post, then I'll take his action for him to get things moving.

Sovereign Court

Alerion moves forward and draws his rapier.

Caelwyn is up.
current map.

Sovereign Court

Male Elf Bard 2

Thankful that Levistus' spell has worked, Caelwyn gives up the charade with a sigh. Drawing his bow, he aims a shot at the terrified Trog.
5' step to I10, Aiming at A6.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Damage 1d8 ⇒ 7

...and totally blows the shot.

Sovereign Court

rolls:
1d20 ⇒ 3, 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16

The hypnotised man and reptillian both remain under the effects of Levistus' spell, while the remaining troglodyte panics and turns to flee down the corridor.

Thovar, you can take an attack of opportunity against the fleeing trog if you like.
Alerion's Save vs. sickness 1d20 ⇒ 16-pass

Levistus is up next

Thovar's attack of opportunity: Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7; damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8. Miss!

Sovereign Court

The troglodyte disappears into the darkness 60' down the tunnel, the sound of his clawed feet scraping on the wet floor echoing loudly.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Levistus moves up (to B6) and takes a shot with his crossbow after the fleeing trog, more to light the area up for the others than actually to hit the creature. "Come now gentlemen we can't allow this one to spoil our element of surprise now, can we?"

Light crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Sovereign Court

Levistus wrote:
Light crossbow attack: 1d20+2=4

Since that doesn't make the AC 5 for targeting a square, I'll roll a d8 as per the grenade-like weapons to figure out where it ends up (assuming you're targeting the square one range increment ahead of you):1d8 ⇒ 8

The bolt falls short of the troglodyte, ricocheting off the right hand wall before coming to a rest in the mucky water channel. The illumination from the bolt reveals the creature 120' down the corridor, just at the edge of the light.

As you watch, the current of the water, flowing quickly away from you, starts to carry the bolt a little further...

Sovereign Court

Male Elf Bard 2

Consternation on his face, "This can only end badly."

Obviously unhappy with where his crossbow bolt ended up he says with heavy sarcasm, "Thought you might like a challenge. I thought you elves could shoot the wings off a mosquito in the dark."

When it's Thovar's turn, he casts longstrider, increasing his speed, and moves down the tunnel after the troglodyte, shouting, "Come back here!"

Thovar's speed is now 40 feet. I'll use my travel domain ability to avoid difficult terrain if need be.

I was thinking of casting it on you, actually, but sadly I can only cast it on myself.

Since the water is quite shallow here, it isn't difficult terrain so you don't need to use your domain ability.

With the longstrider, you can position yourself this round so that you'll be able to run for the next two rounds and cut him off.

Moving forward as much as I can to try to catch up with the troglodyte, unless there is someone closer for me to take a swing at. Thanks.

There's a hypnotised Troglodyte within striking distance.

I'm definitely going to try to catch up with it and attack (charge) if I can.

Note that an openly hostile action toward someone facinated automatically breaks the effect. Which we'll have to do at some point but just letting you know. So the trog would automatically get freed from the facination and Lemedor would get a new save but we got to take them down sometime.

Yep, but with all the weapons being waved around I've already been giving them a save each round.

Well then, get him Olo!

The Exchange

Well then, get him Olo!

"He, he he," Olo whispers, almost out of breath from all the running. "Uncle Olo has a shiny treat for you..."

Olo's axe gleams briefly in the darkness as it comes down towards the hypnotised Troglodyte...

Using my attack roll and confirmed crit from before - I suspect this poor fella is now paste....19 points of damage all together!

Sovereign Court

The troglodyte slumps heavily to the ground under the force of Olomorn's mighty blow, splashing into the water loudly.

Alerion's up again, I'll give him until tomorrow before NPCing him.

Sovereign Court

Male Human (Chelish) 1st Level Sorcerer

Alerion moves toward the fleeing trog 30' feet and takes a shot with his bow.

To hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Ugh, terrible damage. Caelwyn, your up.

Sovereign Court

1d100 ⇒ 6 -sorry.

Alerion's shoots towards the Troglodyte, but unfortunately the dim light around the creature prevents the elf from striking true and the arrow clatters harmlessly along the ground.

Caelwyn's up.
Caelwyn, Trogs, Lemedor, Levistus, Olomorn, Thovar, Alerion

Thought his lowlight vision would save him from that but can't say that it makes much difference anyway.

Sovereign Court

Levistus wrote:

I believe that low-light vision just doubles the distance that counts as dimly lit before it becomes total darkness.

Sovereign Court

Male Elf Bard 2

Shooting Levistus a dirty look, Caelwyn pulls back his bow, grumbling and mumbling below his breath.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 No range or light mods included
Damage 1d8 ⇒ 2 Cool! Crit confirm 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 & crit damage? 1d8 ⇒ 7

Sovereign Court

As per the OOC thread, the trog is just inside the range of normal light for elves, so Alerion's arrow actually hit the Trog.

Caelwyn's arrow follows that of his ally, piercing deep into the already heavily wounded Troglodyte. But somehow the resilient creature still stands, hobbling slowly away and leaving a trail of sticky blood in its wake.

Rolls:
1d20 - 2 ⇒ (15) - 2 = 13

The blank faced animal handler remains mystically entranced by Levistus.

The glowing bolt picks up speed in the current of dirty water, flowing an additional 20' down the corridor.

Now the Troglodyte is 50' away from the light-source, and therefore in dim-light for everyone.
Levistus's turn.
