I'm hiking down to the Buckeye State to run PFS events at BASHCON again this year. I would welcome any help from local GMs or attendees, even for a slot or two. I'm happy to share my hotel room at no cost with anyone who will commit to run at least three slots. If I don't need you, I'll cut you loose.
Convention website: www.bashcon.com
The convention is held in the student union at the University of Toledo (2801 West Bancroft Street, Toledo, OH 43606). It is a comfortable venue with great attendance each year.
I've scheduled six slots of PFS scenarios:
Friday 7PM PFS#29 The Devil We Know, Part 1
Saturday 9AM PFS#38 No Plunder, No Pay
Saturday 2PM PFS#39 Citadel of Flame
Saturday 7PM PFS#40 Hall of Drunken Heroes
Sunday 10AM PFS#36 Echoes of the Everwar, Part 1
Sunday 3PM PFS#37 The Beggar's Pearl
For the higher level scenarios I am making 8th level pre-gens for any walk-up players to use for no PFS credit, but at least they'll get to experience the Pathfinder RPG rules.

So many scenarios that I have either played or that are out of my level range- by just a little..
Do you have any requests? I bring the entire PFS library along, and have run each of them multiple times. So long as the other players who show up have no qualms I can terrorize your wizard in any available scenario :)

This is just a reminder that BASHCon is next weekend. This past weekend I drove down to Toledo and ran a full table of Pathfinder Society at a LFR gameday. There is growing interest in Pathfinder Society, and I hope the organizers down there will pick it up and run with it. Regardless, I am completely flexible on what scenarios I run at BASHCon. Just because the schedule says I'm running a Tier 7-11 scenario doesn't mean you will be turned away if you want to play something low level. I come ready to run almost 40 scenarios with pre-drawn maps, Chronicles and everything you can imagine. I'm bringing uncleden with me for most if not all of the weekend, and I have a third GM on standby one hour away if I need him.

Awesome to hear Doug, especially that it's starting to catch on in general. I have been roped into mainly playing LFR with friends there, but I hope to get free for one session or so of PFS. I've got a level 6 and a level 2 character. I'll take a peek at my scenario availability. I had a great time gaming with you there last year.

Hello, Doug! I'm a student at the University of Toledo who will be participating in as many of the Pathfinder Society events as possible along with one of my friends. However, although certainly not new to 3.5 we are new to pathfinder. This is also our first organized play event.
I have purchased the pathfinder core rulebook and also downloaded the free material on this site detailing how to create a character for pathfinder. My friend is busy with exams but he will be ready by this weekend.
I assume that our characters (unless pregen) must begin at first level? So I have just finished my character, created an account, and got his basic stats and stuff posted online. He is a 1st lvl ranger. I will probably do a background for some falvor if I get the time. I just wanted to know if you would like me to scan a copy of his sheet and send it to you via e-mail or if there is anything else I need to do to prepare myself for the game.
Thanks!

No problem Chris, I'm very happy to hear you've taken the initiative and gotten all that done first. You sound like you've got a firm grip on getting started. You do start at 1st level. When anyone shows up to the table with both a Pathfinder Society number and a character I am overjoyed :) If you would like to scan your character and have me take a look over him I certainly will, but it's not a requirement. I appreciate you caring enough to ask. You can reach me at dmiles [at] starems [dot] com. I look forward to meeting you both Friday!

BASHCon was a blast -- played with Chris and his friends, and even though I forgot I was holding the rope to pull the dwarf wizard out of the water, we still prevailed in that module :-).
Thanks Doug and Den -- as usual, you guys came through and initiated many new players into PFS play. I hope some of them can come up to Michigan and play with us sometime.

Between Dennis and myself we ran 11 tables and signed up 13 new players. We had a much better than expected turn-out. It was gratifying to see the difference in PFS interest between last year and now. There's definitely a core of players down there now where there wasn't before.
Also the Ohio Dragonslayers, a very active LFR community, have welcomed Pathfinder Society into their FLGS. I drove down to Toledo last week and ran a demo table through Mists of Mwangi and they enjoyed themselves enough to start a regular PFS event. Now the new players who cut their teeth at BASHCon will have a place to get more PFS action without traveling too far.

Again thanks for everything and we will surely be trying to participate in more Pathfinder events. Doug was fantastic! Some great role-playing memories will come out of this weekend haha.
Michael I wish you could have been there for that next game buddy. That wizard would not let it up for what we did to them. He walked right past one of our wizards struggling in 5ft. of water. She asked him to help her because she was in trouble. He said"Trouble? Trouble!!! Lady last time I was with these men they tied my feet by rope and used me as bait to draw out a gigantic snake underwater! AND then they dropped the rope!" I about died laughing.
On a side note, I was surprised that when I told he was told to be the bait he was complacent... Unlike Justin of course :)

FYI Chad the group that coerced Doug down to Toledo was your ever lovable and adored ODS. I have always wanted to run PFS organized play but never could get the people until recently. So the next time you are in the neighborhood and want to get your PFS on. check the warhorn site and we will be more than willing to kill you while adventuring for the Pathfinder Society. FYI Nancy is the Coordinator for PFS and I am only a lowly judge.
See you at the game.
