I've got a bit of a busy week, so I'll give deranged until the end of Thursday. We'll be starting with or without on Friday. Feel free to use the time to write up some background, make any changes you want, or just go fishing.
Might be some more background info coming for the starting city (leaning mostly towards Kingsblood at the moment). If anyone have any requests for any sort of info, I'd be happy to provide.
Hello, just wanted to get an update on this game, and also a character roster in case I am needed to fill this out.

Ok thanks, I'll sit happily on the reserve list.

Yes, I'll be making the first post later tonight, I guess. I'll be making a few checks of your characters beforehand, to make my own cheat-sheets and check for anything strange. Generally that'll just be me rolling a 1 on my basic math or knowledge (D&D) skills, so don't get too worried if I bring anything up. There won't be much in the way of combat for a while, so we can work out anything of that nature in good time.

Hammith DM |

Game is in motion, barring any surprise appearances by Deranged, Stardust shall be our 5th.
Two questions before the link:
AlQahir, you gave Maz about starting gold, give or take. You're free to give away pretty much all of the 3,000 you're allowed to spend, but I don't find players often that altruistic. Would you like to take the extra gold?
Gerald, why does your monk have a wand of mage armor, but no UMD or way of really using it? You're free to buy it, I'm just making sure you didn't buy it while planning another character or something.

Hammith DM |

Hammith, when or if Hagrym finds someone in the party he can trust who might be able to use the wand, he is going to try and persuade them to mage armor him when possible.
Perfectly reasonable, was just making certain. We all have brain farts, but I'd hate for such a costly mental flub so early in the game.

Hammoth,
I wanted to bounce a char concept off you and see how it will work in your world.
Half-elf female rouge/sorcerer w/infernal bloodline, haven't decided on class breakdown yet, spells will be enchantment/utility, nothing flashy. Alignment will be neutral at best, bue to the elvish/infernal taint. Obviously disguise will be her skill focus feat, he he.
Thoughts, comments, suggestions?

It would work well. Technically, elves prefer the Fey sorcerer bloodline (they're descendants of a peculiar breed of fey who switched between seelie and unseelie depending on the phase of the moon), but the infernal would work just as well. I'd suggest focusing more on the rogue, as the current party is fairly heavy on spell-casters. Although, that may just be my intense enjoyment of rogues speaking.

Yeah I do enjoy playing rogues as well, I just wanted to supplement the rogue abilities somewhat, plus the infernal taint/bloodline she has might entice her to explore it further, maybe corrupting her down the road. I guess its how you view the PF sorcerer class as well, since the 3.5 sorcerer was rather bland. Now if you look at it now, its much more interesting to play IMO. Still having spells like disguise self and charm person would be very useful, he he.

Oh my bad let me fix that really quick, I meant to add a wand of shield of faith to my gear and then update my gear. I'll do that now.

Aevelyn BlackHair |

Profile added, I will be in the process of filling out the rest of the stats.
Update: Stats all done. Will work on BG later.

Hammith DM |

MoFiddy, are you busy in real life, this not really interesting to you, or just not a frequent poster?
I'm willing to deal with whatever you throw at me, I've just been sort of holding back the speed of the game to let you get into it a bit and want to know what to do. I'm gonna assume for now that your guy just had some trouble finding the place, so he got there later and had a nice meal mostly to himself. The waitress told him some things about the others, but nothing too specific.
I'm fast forwarding for now, mostly since it seems everyone else wants to move on.

Hammith DM |

Yeah, I suspect it's probably just not being able to post often, but if it's not enjoying the game or something of that sort, I'd prefer knowing. You folks also seemed to be getting tired of the current scene, so I sort of pushed ahead.
Mostly just want to see if it's something where I'll possibly have to take control if we get into combat, or if he can post more often, but is just a bit bored with the current bit that's going on.

Hi Hammith,
Sorry about that. I didn't see a post about a waitress telling me things about the others. I guess I was waiting for interaction or something. I'll fast forward to the Mayor's office.
Not sure about this summoner character. It is weird posting for 2 people (summoner and eidolon). Makes me feel like I'm talking to myself. Maybe I should have picked another class. :)

Hey Hammith,
I finished her BG, let me know what you think about it.
Thanks.
Seems decent enough, not terribly sure if you'll get to use it, though. I might be able to bring you in on the next adventure-thing, depending on how well the group does.
I apologize for not posting in the main thread today but I have a serious migraine, so I can't really think too easily right at the moment. Might be able to if I can get my hands on some advil or something later tonight, but I doubt it.

That's okay. With work and everything else going on, I wasn't able to post much either.

Hope you feel better Hammith. Migraines suck.

Hammith DM |

Things might be a bit sporadic over the next few days. Grandfather decided to have a heart attack, so have been spending the week mostly around family. Don't worry too much, he's doing better, just wanted to make sure you weren't getting worried about the game not continuing.
I'll hopefully be able to post something later tonight, probably just the 'travel to town' and possibly town introduction.

Hammith DM |

Okay, strange question. When we purchased our abilities with pointbuy, what was the total points we had to purchase them with?
I seem to have a little problem with my ability scores. (Not really a problem, but a little skewed in my head.)
It was 20 point buy.
I do so apologize for not posting recently, I promise that tomorrow will feature at least some activity on my part, and possibly a lot. Technically I mean today. Sunday. BLARGH, too early! Or late! I'm tired! BLARGH!

Eric Swanson |

I guess that means Eric Swanson can join now... :) Waiting for the DM's approval, of course.
Okay, 20 point buy.
16 = 10 points
15 = 7 points
13 = 3 points
11 = 1 point
10 = 0 point
9 = -1 pointTotal = 20.
He he, I already have a character ready to go. But thanks you anyway, I am just waiting for DM approval, as we all are, he he.

Hammith DM |

Sorry to hear that MoFiddy, I'll take control of Taerl for a little bit, and then remove him in a way that leaves you able to come back if things clear up for you.
Ok Eric, I'll put you in someplace where it doesn't seem too outwardly weird. Should be in a day or so, given the current pacing.

Cool, I will stand by ready to go.
MoFiddy, hope you can come back to us soon!

Hammith DM |

Hopefully you folks see this, but the second storm that hit us on the east coast knocked out our cable station. Thus I haven't had service for about a week, I hope you're all still keeping track of the threads, and if you read this please post something.
If any more of this kind of stuff happens I'm gonna tear my freaking hair out.

No problem, I hear San Diego is a nice place to live, he he.

Hello all,
Well, I'm feeling better, but I'm not sure if I should rejoin or not. I took about 10 days off of typing, so that helped. It's carpel tunnel or something. I might have to have surgery.
Of course, I could always keep making my 9 year old son keep typing posts for me :) He obviously thinks I'm the coolest dad around (So when do we get to fight the dragon, Dad???)

Hey welcome back, MoFiddy! If you want to rejoin this, then I will step aside of course for you. Getting surgery would suck, so do whatever feels best for you.
BTW the Ravenloft game seens to have died, so your load is lighter now then it was before, he he.

Thanks Eric,
I think I am going to drop out. I don't to rejoin only to have to drop out again.
I did notice that Ravenloft had died. Bummer...that was a cool setting.

10-4 MoFiddy, but Ravenloft cannot stay dead for long, he he.
