I'm trying to start a PF Society game at my Friendly Local Game Store (FLGS) in Bennington, VT.

This thread serves two purposes:

1) To serve as a call to arms for any Pathfinders in Southwestern Vermont, Northern Berkshires of Massachusetts, and East Capital Region of New York to come to the Gamer's Grotto, on Main Street in Downtown Bennington, and participate in an ongoing Pathfinder Society Event. Time and date to be determined after I get the tenative schedules of the interested parties.

2) The proprietor of the Gamer's Grotto is inquiring as to any possible benefits from hosting an event in his store. He likes running WotC events (4e RPGA and Magic) because each one earns his store 'prestige' (or something). This allows him to get better deals on the products, better promotional give-aways, and so on.
I know Hasbro/WotC are infinitely bigger than Paizo (just look at their customer service! What customer service? ::ZING!!::), but does Paizo offer any incentives to FLGS, other than the superior nature of their product?

I can provide you with two introductory scenarios for free to help get you started as well as send the store some posters advertising Pathfinder Society, but we don't have the budget to do anything bigger than that I'm afraid.

Let me just say that perhaps the biggest thing that impresses me about Paizo is its contact with the customer. I don't know of any other company large enough to tackle the daunting task of preserving d20 OGL principles in the face of a massive corporate machine, yet small enough to have the Events Manager answer questions on the Message Board. So thank you Mr. Frost!

I figured as much. I'm still going to do it, but now I need a back-up plan incase the FGLS schedules something more profitable on a game night and kicks us out. No worries! ^_^

That being said, two free scenarios and a poster is more than I had bargained for! It'll help get the ball rolling for sure! Should I have the store owner contact you for the poster? Or should I give you the address?

Yes, have the store owner contact me. josh@paizo.com

Alright, so the Grotto Pathfinders are up and running, with our first session to be held this Saturday, March 7th and running every other Saturday after that.

Come on down!

SirGeshko,

The store owner never did contact me. Can you email me the store's contact information so I can send some posters out there and help you promote the Pathfinder Society game days?

Thanks!

I'm working on getting Keith (the owner) to change the calendar and link to the event on this site.
