Only three presents left to buy!

i've blitzed my christmas shopping today, with only three things left to buy

1)my sister - i was going to adopt a monkey for her at the local zoo, but even though i think she would love that, my mother thinks she will hate it, so i need to reconsider

2)my sisters mother-in-law - she is always at christmas dinner, and gets me something, so i need to get something for her. i'm drawn to the idea of a nigella-lawsonesque little hamper of home-made things.

3)my niece, who is 2, and who will probably end up just playing with the wrapping paper, whatever i get her!

Kids are tough to shop for until about age 4 or so. There's some really good durable tea sets for little girls these days, and that's something to grow into.
