all Character delay accordingly ;)
cleric casts dispel magic at 1st Wall of fire ( A5-P5)
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 against DC 20
then moves to k9
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
wizard casts ice strom at the same location( he get most of the room behind the Walls of fire (and he suspects the summoner to be in the A1E5 Area, because both wall emanate heat outside this area)
CL 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 against DC 20
3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 5) = 9 blud
2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 1) + 3 = 6 cold ( again not enough to kill wall of fire
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
rogue moves to e8, readies an action to shoot an casting Summoner ( blindly)
I'd say that a wall of fire blocks an arrow, burns it right up.
And your fighter?
Positions and HP?
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
fighter moves to l4 shoots at Pet
1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
fighter takes 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (4, 2) + 9 = 15 dmg
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
fighter L4 (59hp)
Wizard J10 (40Hp)
Cleric K8 (55HP)
Rogue e8 (35hp)
T-man moves to j4 and strikes fighter with claw
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 301d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
ok for the arrow. Rouge calls for a Channel energy, hes left his healing potions at home
Darkjoy wrote: T-man moves to j4 and strikes fighter with claw
1d20+13; 1d8+5
This was my readied action
Darkjoy wrote: Darkjoy wrote: T-man moves to j4 and strikes fighter with claw

Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
can't move+ attack as an readied action
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
when i post all my positions and Hp it's your turn
Azmahel wrote: can't move+ attack as an readied action partial charge

There is no shrubbery between T-man and the fighter.
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
ah. my battlemap is off by 1. (shrubbery on KL23 is on KL34)
but nowhere is stated, that heat dissolves the snow and sleet. it even works in a desert. (it's magic after all ;) )
Darkjoy wrote: Azmahel wrote: Darkjoy wrote: Azmahel wrote: can't move+ attack as an readied action partial charge difficult terrain ( ice storm+ shubbery) Wall of fire + ice storm interactions make this somewhat dubious.
There is no shrubbery between T-man and the fighter. But, I'll let it slide.
T-man hits the fighter, using my previous roll and is then summoned to his master's side. at d2
Sam moves to c1
wall of fire 1 deals 1d4 ⇒ 3 to wizard and cleric
wall of fire 2 deals 1d4 ⇒ 4 to wizard
Sam tries to save against blindness 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
also you aren't restricted to just a standart action your turn. but you can only ready a normal standard action
saved!
Sam is at c1 with 42 hp
T-man is at d2 with 29 hp

Wizard is not in range of Wall 1

Azmahel wrote: Wizard is not in range of Wall 1

No my mistake
Darkjoy wrote: Azmahel wrote: Wizard is not in range of Wall 1

complete your turn, I must go to the shop to buy dinner.
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
rogue moves to E9 (5ft. step)
readies to shoot anything coming out of the Wall of fire
Fighter moves to K4 (yells to the wizard that Pert is with the summoner in A1E5
readies the same action
Cleric uses Channel Energy, moves to K10
4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4, 3) = 12
Wizard uses his staff to cast ice storm at C2D3
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 Cl check
3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) = 10 blud
2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 = 12 cold
moves to K11
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
Rouge is at E9 (44 HP)
Wizard is at K11 (44HP)
Fighter is at K4(60HP)
Cleric is at K10(59 HP)
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
off to the shop to buy dinner
Which staff would that be?

Sam is going to cast wall of fire along the k0-a10 line, crossing at f5 with the other two walls.
The wall deals 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6 to the fighter and rogue.
#1 wall deals another 1d4 ⇒ 4 to the rogue.
T-man moves to a4 and has 7 hp
Sam moves to a3 and has 20 hp
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
t-man should have more HP, didn't make my CL-check
Azmahel wrote: t-man should have more HP, didn't make my CL-check 29 hp for t-man
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
cleric casts fire shield on himself (Chill variety)
Wizard moves to K11 andreadies to cast fireball at casting summoner (if he can't pinpoint him he'll cast at CD34)
rogue moves to E13 and readies again
fighter moves to N4 and does the same
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
cleric at K10 (59HP)
rogue at E13 (34HP)
Wizard at K11 (44HP)
Fioghter at N4 (54 HP)
Observation: this looks like a forest. There must be more forest than the battlemat implies. Reasonbly my summoner would now move to another location where he would not get fireballed no matter what.
Your thoughts
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
normally on a skirmish leaving the battlefield will equal forfeit. also he has only 15 ft. Movement (remember all the difficult terrain?)so he has very limited options escaping the fireball. Also i would have defaulted to AB34. i chose CD34 due to the battlefield constrains
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
also leaving the battlefield would make it way more easy for me to circumvent your walls of fire

I don't call it forfeit, I would call it being smart.
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
you are leaving the controlled area of the playtest. also by leaving the map my fighter and rogue would have made much progress aroud the walls of fire ( 3 rounds for the rouge, 2 for the fighter, if i recall correctly.)
i'm not to keen about this.
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
and all you can do is cast stoneskin to delay your doom a tad more, or improved invis , to do the same :)
The smart thing would be a tactical retreat and kill you tomorrow. That is what the official version shall be.
Because I totally got my 25% of resources spent with this encounter I think.
But for the fun of it I'll say both T-man and Sam will hide among the shrubbery.
I think the fighter and the rogue still receive 1d4 ⇒ 4
Stealth role T-man 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Stealth role Sam1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
you are fighting a retreat since the beginning of the combat. :D
so all you do is hiding?
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
dont forget Prayer and the amror check penalty (-1) of your armor :P
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
and most importaint Glitterdust. it should be still up :D
ice storm conceals all ;>
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
call it a game or wanna fight till the end ?
Nah, I'l do the retreat. rematch or do-overis needed.
Point learned: #1 summoner spell list has no direct damage, which is sorely missed. #2 summoner should not start encounters at less than 60 feet. #3 Atleast not without a bigger battlemat.
Male Human ( mostly) Commoner 2 / Student 3
even moving away wouldn't have changed much. only stretched the fight more.

And. I am never going to get a summon spell off while bering harassed.
I did like it better as a standard action.
