This one boggled my mind: conception of reality fail

Really, couldn't you just link to Failblog and call it a day?

I could, but not everything on failblog makes me laugh like that one. I like to be a little more selective.

I know. I just figured I might as well link to the source. On a related note, with these side effects, you'd think people would have better things to do than fill out surveys.

Liberty's Edge

That's not real.

What, the dumb question on the internet, the bizarre survey, or failblog as a whole?

All of the above?

Funny thing is, that might be made into a valid question if you removed the word "personally" and changed the answer to something like "death of another."

Liberty's Edge

The mirror question. It can't be.

I remember being 6 and wondering if I could jump up in the aisle on the airplane and get to the bathroom at the back quicker.

Wow, that seems kind of shallow of him...

One of my partner's high school students said, after watching a clip of the movie Glory, and in all seriousness, "I didn't realize that Denzel Washington had fought in the Civil War."

Trust me, the mirror question is tame.

Liberty's Edge

Naah, they were just joking.

I remember thinking similar things while riding in cars, around the same age. "If I hop up in the air while the car is moving, will I fall into the back seat?" It does seem to be the type of stuff that would be asked by a young child...general misapplication of physics. The mirror question though...

I could get behind a crime bill like this. Now if we could just figure out a way to get criminals to follow the law...

Liberty's Edge

Somebody's going to contest that on account of they're illiterate. I guarantee you.

In their defense, that survey was created for Nikki Sixx.

Let's not forget that he actually died, and lived to tell about it.

Aww Yeah! Wrote a song about it. Like to hear it? Here it goes!

A friend of mine thought he could ride his bike to Florida without pedaling when he was a kid, because New York is north of Florida, and if you're going south, you're going downhill.

Allow me to be your link tester. It's a clip from a Woody Allen movie. Not extraordinarily funny, but apt. And, of course, not a rickroll.
