As the smell of blood spraying hits the party,
As bloodlust rises in you, make a Will save DC 8 or charge to melee attack immediatley!
You notice that both Annie and Jons eyes are glowing red, and are they drooling?
You notice a bit of dust trickling down to your sleeve. From above?
DM-Camris
Round 2:
>[npc]Annie
As the smell of blood hits her, Annie feels the strongest impulse to attack, but she grits her fanged teeth and crushes it with her naked willpower.
She waits for an opportunity to act, since the passageway is clogged with bodies right now.
>Enemy
As red 9 stands up, feet skidding a bit, Bryson, Dgrim and Ghirrak all take a shot at him and they all miss.
Red 9 attacks Bryson with cutlass and bite, and both miss.
Red 7 attacks Spinnaker Jon and hits with a cutlass slash doing 5 points damage.
>Bryson
Elated that Annie chose to favor him with a blessing, Bryson continues to bash at the foul, warped beasts. But that is the only blessing he has as he misses yet again.
Bryson looks up to see whats causing the dust to drift down and coat his sleeve and shouts out "Ware! Above us!"
What you see clinging to the ceiling above you is a small creature with large eyes, a prehensile tail; it resembles nothing so much as a cross between a monkey and a raccoon.
Between its arms and legs are thin membranes the creature uses to glide with.
The Savage Tide has hit this creature hard though; its limbs are unnaturally elongated, it's spine deformed and its hands have writhing, boneless fingers.
It's once fine gray-brown fur is matted with blood and bits of gory tissue.
Sizzling drool dribbles from his fanged, misshapen mouth. He slavers as he grunts and hoots before finally managing to snarl out in common;
"Come to me, meatbags. Just give me a mouthful of your tasty pink flesh!"
He launches himself from the ceiling towards the back of the party. Bindlplotz looks small and bite sized...
>[npc]Bindlplotz
Turns and snap shoots the creature diving at him, grazing it for 5 points damage.
>[npc]Ghirrak
In a flurry of punches and kicks, Ghirrak crushes the creatures intestines for 14 plus 1 con.
The savage pirate erupts in a frenzy of motion as he makes a last bite attack against Ghirrak and misses.
He collapses in a boneless heap and his body erupts in a splash of acid, doing 4 points acid damage to Bryson, Ghirrak and Dgrim unless a Reflex save DC15 is made.
Bryson: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 Saves!
Dgrim: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Fails! Takes 4 points acid.
Ghirrak: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24 Saves!
>Spinnaker Jon
As the smell of blood hits, Spinnaker Jon drops his rapier and attacks in a frenzy.
He hits once for 4 points damage, misses badly the other.
>Dgrim
Swings and hits for 8 points.

But she is so unnerved by her own desire to wade into melee that she misses badly.

Red 2 evades Annie as it dives down on Bindlplotz, catches him high in the chest with a chop with his kukri for 4 point slashing damage, then flies up to the ceiling again.
>Bryson
Coughing from the smoke from Bindle's weapon, Bryson moves out of the gunsmoke and next to #7, bashes at it but it dodged aside.
>[npc]Bindlplotz
Drops his expended carbine, draws the second and starts aiming.
>Ghirrak
With an agility that belies his massive frame Ghirrak tumbles through the chaos to supporrt Jon,
striking the opponent he faces with a brutal snap kick, but the damage was absorbed by it's unnatural resiliance.
>Spinnaker Jon
Swings wildly, but howls in fury at missing.
>Dgrim
Dgrim swings at #7 and cut it nearly entirely in half, losing the scimitar in the body.
The creature immediately goes into a frenz, biting at Dgrim, but the teeth glance off his armor.
The body then dissolves into a splash of acid. Bryson, Dgrim, Ghirrak and Jon must make Reflex saves DC15 or take 1d6 points acid damage.

Round 4:
>Annie
"Bindle!" Annie cries as the strange creature dances back out of reach,
"Move back behind me! The smoke might hamper him a bit!" She said as the gunsmoke cleared. The pistol or carbine gunsmoke doesnt last as long as the musket gunsmoke.
Annie takes a diagonal step back so Bindlplotz can retreat without her blocking his shot and readies an action to attack if the creature steps into range of her dagger, but she concentrates mostly on keeping her defenses up, still.

>Ghirrak-
With amazing skill Ghirrak runs up the wall to meet the diving creature colliding to envelop it in an iron grip; their combined weight bring them both to the floor again.
At this point Bindlplotz unloads on the creature, now grappled by Ghirrak. He misses with the hook, but hits with the hammer.

Bite: 1d20 + 0 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 0 + 2 = 11 Miss! He holds him away from his face.
The body then dissolves into a splash of acid. Bryson, Dgrim, Ghirrak and Jon must make Reflex saves DC15 or take 1d6 points acid damage.

Annie: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18 Save!
Gull Street Annie
Annie looks at her allies and sees that Bindlplotz and Ghirrak are injured, but Dgrim has taken lot of acid damage.
"My spells are much of what blessing I have left from Cayden cailean today," Annie said, "We should press forward for the short time they last. Here, some healing." Annie closed her eyes and concentrated on healing her allies.
Channel Energy (Healing): 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6
"Jon, if I may borrow your wand to take care of Dgrim's remaining wounds?"
If he agrees: Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
"We should press forward immediately, we can search the area later, I think."
Weapon of Awe and Bull Strength last for 30 rounds (3 minutes). We've used 7 rounds of Bull's Strength and 6 rounds of Weapon of Awe (battle time + 2 rounds for healing). Annie still has a bless for a nasty fight - let's see if we can clean the worst of these caves out with the buffs on Dgrim and Bryson intact. Annie has 4 more channels left.
Dgrim Urnidukr
Dgrim curses loudly as the last splash of acid sprays him, and more of his flesh burns and peels off his bones. "Every single one of these savages I get close to hits me with their acid! What kinda curse or plague is this that turns creatures into vats of acid?"
After receiving cures, Dgrim moves down the southwest corridor.
Dgrim's at 34/37.
DM-Camris
Spinnaker Jon concentrates after letting Annie borrow the wand to heal Dgrim, his eyes glow blue and he looks around the kitchen. He picks up the masterwork Kukri, a couple of potions and a pair of slippers that read as magical from the remains of the flying monkey thing.
Bindlplotz has just enough time to reload one of his gonnes.
Continuing on down another passageway, you come to a huge central cavern. Dozens of bolts of once fine brocaded silk hang from lines of rope stretched lengtwise across the ceiling of theis chamber, making it difficult to accurately judge the size of the sandy floored cavern. The party has to proceed by lifting the silk drapes like hanging laundry; the light sources you hold make strange moving shadows as you proceed through what is effectivly a flimsy maze.
The mad screaming an howling is closer now.
The echos tell you the source is not in this chamber, but down another passageway.
You hear the muffles scuff of rapidly moving feet. Non humanoid feet.

You see the silk hangings are draped over ships heavy cable hawsers strung wall to wall overhead. Not something you could cut with a simple slice, but with muscle and persistance, they can be cut. You strongly doubt that creating water would do anything more than stain the silk.
