Looking for advice on some good Dramatized Audio Books/Radio shows.
I am just about to pick up Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, & Return of the Jedi Radio dramatizations.
Also looking at The Hobbit and the Lord of Ring series, though I can't decide between the BBC version Vs the American vs... I am leaning towards the BBC version, anyone have advice on which of those?
An advice on any other good ones. I hear BBCs The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is good, any others?

There was some dramatization out there of Stephen King's The Mist (this was made years before the movie). Also, you might want to check out ZBS Foundation stuff; they're responsible for all the "Ruby: Galactic Gumshoe" and "Jack Flanders" radio drama series that gets played on them pacifica radio now and then.
Here's a sample that was put up on Youtube. And another one. And yes, the accompanying visuals are all fan-made but the audio is 100% ZBS.

Thanks, but Not really what I am looking for, More looking for Dramatizations based on Classic Fantasy mostly, but some SciFi to.
And I hate King, other then his Dark Tower series, which in itself sucked the last 2 books.

I don't have many audiobooks, reading is much faster, of the few I have
The Hitchiker's Guide, probably the best quality, then the Ender's Game, Titus Groan and Gormenghast.
With just one reader I recommend the Dresden Files, the Lyonesse trilogy, A Song of Ice and Fire books 1 and 3, the Riftwar and the Serpentwar Saga, the Elric sequence, Stranger in a Strange Land.
I also have some Discworld (accent)and Lankhmar audios, Lovecraft, Gibson's Neuromancer, A Canticle for Leibowitz, the Illuminatus trilogy, Hobb, Zelazny (last few books are better), but the voice is either annoying or boring.

No worries, I'd still give a recommendation for a listen through with the Ruby Galactic Gumshoe or any Jack Flanders (4th Tower of Inverness, Moon over Morocco)- you might be pleasantly surprised.
Old time radio dramas are another source- but I'm sure you already know about those.
Speaking of Star Wars, there was an audio drama or two based on the Dark Horse Star Wars: Dark Empire title, you can find more info on it here.
There also seems to be an older audiodrama version of C.S. Lewis' Prince Caspian, as found here. The publisher of that radio drama, Tyndale publishing seems to concentrate primarily on Christian religious stuff.
A more recent possibility to consider is Golden Age Stories (found here), if you don't mind audiodramas based on old L. Ron Hubbard ("Mr. Scientology") stories. I've seen them available in Borders- they got their own fancy display with a TV monitor that plays "behind the scenes" video of how the audio dramas were done.
Last but not least, is GraphicAudio; they got audio dramatizations of plenty of titles (Remo Williams The Destroyer, supposedly the inspiration for Monks/Assassins in 1st Edition AD&D, from what I hear). Browsing their site, they even have fantasy stuff- even Demon Wars Saga stuff. Personally, I've only seen the Remo Williams and Deadlands offerings at the local travelcenters (where Truck and car stops are between touristy cities).
Another possibility, apart from NPR public radio or their ilk (They seem to be the ones more ready to play old-time radio dramas), would be children's audio books. And your local public Libraries might be another place to try looking for audio books and radio dramas.
P.S. And here's one more possibility for your sword and sorcery radio drama needs, but you never heard it from little ol' me, mmo'kay?
P.P.S. And you never heard this from me either, but it seems the links on "that" site is dead, more or less. Still, doesn't it just do your heart good to know that it may have been freely available at one time on this wild crazy invention of Al Gore known as the internet? ;P

May as well bump/necro-raise this subject forward to between five or six years into the future of today. Why? Seems almost prescient with two known Paizo/Big Finish projects out there (starting here and here, as a fyi). :)
Of course, if you're taste runs into semi-steampunk, it seems that ZBS has released some samplers of their ninth (!?) Ruby series (starting here) a few years ago. ;)

There's a really solid Dune audiobook with some dialogue-heavy scenes done radio-play style. No links, since I just checked out the CDs from my local library, but the version in question was recorded by Audio Renaissance in 2007.
