Unpainted...I sucker my wife into painting them for me!
Hehe, nice! :D
Okay, here are some I'd recommend, then:
Derleth the Fey
Elquin the Daring
Drake Whiteraven
Marcus Starsong
Aramil, Elven Mage
Satheras, Elf Warlock
They're all by Reaper and they're from the Dark Heaven Legends line of miniatures. The only bad thing about this line is that they don't come with a base, so you'll likely have to base them yourself.

Go to www.reapermini.com and use their "figure finder". You should find something worthy there. Once you've located a decent figure, have your FLGS pick it up for you.
Alternatively, you could order it from Paizo's store...
Thanks...I've checked reaper. Not that sure of other companies though. The miniature is for someone that is playing in a games I'm running. He has played since 2nd Ed. and has never used minis. I want it to make a big impression.

2 good options:
Dark Mage, from Magnificent Egos
Forlorn Elf Wizard, from Pathfinder Chronicles Line
I am using the Forlorn Elf as my mini in a STAP game right now, and with a couple hours of paint it really stands out amongst the pre-painted DnD plastic stuff.

Holy crap! Those are awesome! I really hate to be nit-picky, but the mini is for a first lvl wizard...little less flash..lol.

well, you're in luck. I just got my latest mini order from Paizo in the mail, and the Magnificent Egos minis look nice. Some flash and sprue lines to clean up, but they look good and fairly easy to paint.
They'll probably need a base, but I've found that a quarter and a nickle (or 2 nickles) glued together is the right size, provides plenty of weight, and is cheaper than a commercial base (greenstuff or other clay over the surface to make a clean/textured basing area.
And as a PF AP subscriber, you get a discount on the minis from this very site!

Ugh, I just want to use this post to complain about how hard it is to find a wizard miniature that isn't an elf and that doesn't have a stupid hat or a beard. Some of us don't want to play Gandalf!
They exist and I did eventually find one that I really liked for my sorcerer, but it was a huge hassle for years. :/
Of course, I was only actually looking in brick and mortar stores too so with a lot of the web resources now it's probably gotten easier.
