Hmmmm....I'd be real surprised if the Dream Theatre album doesn't rock...with Petrucci and Portnoy its just almost a fact of life... as for Killswitch...unless it has a completely different sound than the last 3 Killswitch albums....I won't be rushing out to buy it
But if you like Dream Theatre....chk out Symphony X as well

I have jammed to some SX over the years. As far as the new KE, it is VERY different from the last 3 albums, but I am hard pressed to tell you how. I guess that it is more mainstream somehow. It stands on the no man's land between metal and hard rock, which I guess makes it less heavy than the previous CD's. They are moving away from the "My Last Serenade" sound and getting more into the "My Curse" sound. They used to have really heavy verses and melodic refrains; now the melody is starting to drain into the verses too. Don't get me wrong, Howard Jones is still Belting out the metalcore vocals, but the harmony guitarwork is stronger than before.
Actually, I haven't listened to the new DT in almost a week, but I hit the KE everyday. And DT is my fave band. You should check it out. Especially "Starting Over", "Take Me Away" and "In A Dead World".
