Well someone had to start this thread I guess. Putting aside the personal life and the weirdness of his later years there's no denying...the guy had talent.
Honestly, this makes me kind of sad. I haven't been a fan since I was 12 or 13, but still. As freaky as he got he meant something to pretty much everybody my age at one time. (Whether we are brave enought to admit it or not.)
While his loss will certainly be felt, it just seems like pop culture in general suffered a significant blow in the last couple of weeks with Ed McMahon, Farra Faucet, David Carradine ...
