"I always turn to the sports pages first, which records people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures."
-- Chief Justice Earl Warren
Though I know the news primarily publishes "man's failures" because it sells, I get tired after a time reading about humanity's utter stupidity.
I propose, then, this new forum thread where only good news is posted. What's good news? People helping each other selflessly. The safe birth of a newborn. Humanity's latest scientific triumphs. A new role-playing system about to be released. Basically any piece that prevents Joshua J. Frost from ranting on his personal blog just how lame people are. Again ;-)

I would say, the most recent headline quality news is the release of journalist Roxana Saberi. She was accused by the Iranian government of being a spy. Unfortunately, her capture was publicized more than her release, but the good news is, the Iranian government made a rational decision. Let's cross our fingers for many more.

Yeah. Definitely a piece of good news.
