Aruuna puts the droid head and torso down, pointing it out to everyone, mentioning that it could help.. maybe the chip in it's head might have some information.
She then turns to Lucen with a grin. 'It was not the battle I was promised. But it was a battle nonetheless, and as such, enjoyable.'
Ceelell Bendon
Not being the most handy with his hands, Ceelell decides instead to look over the droids head's which have been salvaged to try and decide if they are intact enough to be worth a mechanics time to take chips from. Unfortunately he doesn't really recognize the parts, so comes away unsure.

Ceelell is fairly certain he knows what a lot of the components are, but for some reason they just aren't making sense to him right now. Perhaps its these new fangled 300 years in the future version of parts that would otherwise be familiar to him.

'As am I, Lucen. They offered.. a pleasant warm up, after sleeping for so long.' She grimaces slightly, pulling on her top slightly to inspect the wound there. 'After this storm has passed.. you should show us the ship they landed in, Lucen. So we might go and deal with them for good.'
She then turns her head towards the Rodian, sticking her hand out 'Might I have my commlink back, Groodar?'

Groodar takes out his tool kit from his well-worn backpack and goes to work on HK-22, ignoring the hacking into the droid processor for the time being.
Mechanics skill check on HK-22 (1d20+7=13)
Um, at least you got a nice shine.
For Groodar:
Hm . . . upon review of the crew's capabilities, only Remar and Groodar have Mechanics trained, which means we're just adding an hour for each check that is made, unless you want to abandon poor HK-22 to his injuries . . .
In other words, let me know how many checks it takes to repair HK-22, or let me know if you are giving up (or are going to just spend a whole day to do it, i.e. taking 20 and using 20 hours for the repair).
Groodar Greepbar
Groodar hands the Comlink back to his ally, obviously forgetting its resting place in his weapons belt.
Groodar makes an assement of HK-22. Before he commits to the numerous hours of work he will spend an hour trying to hack into one of the droid head's processors. After this he will spend the remainder of the day working on HK-22.
For GM
Groodar sits down next to HK-22, spreads out all the tools of his tool kit and then goes to work.
Basic: "Oh HK-22, you are a mess. I need to put some of the durasteel plating from these droids on you? Affirmative statement?"
For GM
Klonsa
Klonsa will begin examining those who are injured.
"I know I'm not as skilled a healer as Master Kraalim was but I will do my best to help all those who are hurt."
Not sure how we are using Force powers out of combat but I will use Vital Transfer as much as possible passing out if need be to heal everyone. If I take 10 I get 17 on Use the Force and would heal 7 so I will take 3 damage from each check if I heal the full 7.

Groodar will drag some parts to the ship and see if he can fashion a power pak from one.
Also, if he found an intact droid head with is processor he hooks it up to the ship's computer (if it is still functioning) using his tool kit.
Use Computer skill check to Improve Access of droid processor. (1d20+12=16)
Since the processor wasn't specifically locked down before the droid was sent out on patrol, its initial attitude was only Indifferent. With your check you manage to gain access to the processor as an authorized user.
You hear a start up tone as you load the droid's processor, and the following is heard:
"Welcome to the Czerka Corporation B-Czerka 5 Series Patrol Droid. Thank you for choosing Czerka for your patrol and elimination needs."
What would you like to access in the droid's processor?
Groodar Greepbar
Groodar works on the rather sturdy looking droid.
Groodar will not take 20 as that would mean HK-22 would only get 1 guaranteed HP every 20 hours of work (yikes!).
Basic: "Hold still will you.....ouch....stop hitting Groodar does he look like an enemy.....ewww what is that leaking from you.......calm down will you, we are not in battle.......stop that.....muffle, muffle....put that rifle down that is not gonna help in repairs.......Groodar's head is not a grenade stop trying to unpin it........"
After 7 hours HK-22 will have been repaired 3 measly hit points and all persistent conditions are removed.
Groodar Greepbar
Groodar types at the ship's computer connected to the droid's processor with his suction-tipped fingers. He types feverishly as he goes to work.
Groodar tries to get 'specific' information on who gave the droid its last orders and what they were.
Basic: "Hold on HK-22 this will take but a few moments."
After ten minutes
Use Computer check to access information from droid processor. (1d20+12=21)
GameMasterKEJR
I try to inspect some of the technology brought on board. Knowledge Tech: 21 total
Looking at the plating, rifles, and the droid heads and processors, you can see that most of the technology seems like fairly inexpensive patrol droids and standard equipment.
Although some of it is configured a bit differently, you have essentially adapted to new parts and conventions in use 300 years later.
Other than you, you get the impression that these droids aren't state of the art war droids by any means.
Klonsa
Klonsa moves around touching his injured companions soothing all of their wounds within a few minutes. After, he moves to a corner of the ship to meditate his own wounds aching.
Everyone else is fully healed. I will begin meditating entering a Force Trance to begin healing myself after catching a Second Wind.

You manage to get the the droid to replay its visual programming and memory files. You see right off the bat the droid being turned on, and another droid standing in front of the droid and several others like it.
The droid in front of the patrol droid is a small, hovering droid with a flat, platter shaped head, and optical sensors all around the disk. Under it are several manipulator arms. It bears the same black and red colors and symbols as the patrol droid.
In a high pitched, mechanical voice, you hear the droid say to the patrol droid,
"I am so sorry for all of the memory wipes, but procedure is procedure. Must not let anyone else process the information I've gathered. Ah well, eventually someone from the Sith Empire should respond to the beacon, and then I can present them will everything I've processed so far.
Go out, patrol the area, and bring me back any life-forms you managed to neutralize. Fan out in standard patrol pattern 3x4.
Ah well, head out, and I'll stay here processing these shield leaves . . . always with the shield leaves . . .
Ah well, perhaps we'll find one of the lost patrol ships eventually . . . then maybe I'll be in line for an upgrade."
As the droids march out of the ship that they are in, you see, in addition to the floating droid, three large war droids bristling with weapons, standing in stand by mode.
When the droids leave the ship, you can see that the ship is damaged. The rest of the visual record is just marching in patrol out to your ship, and then HK-22 opening fire on the droid.
Danguard Troy
Danguard shrugs off any healing attempts, and instead looks over the droids and weapons, he notes it doesn't look very state of the art.
basic: "Cheap droids, scouts most likely. The power packs on the rifles probably cost more than the droids."
Tossing aside a part here and there, Danguard finds a quiet spot too meditate.
"Woah." Danguard remarks as the replay catches his attention.
"Did you see those three combat droids? they may give us trouble."
Danguard ponders. "Grooda can you analyze that feed and get the direction those droids are traveling, and mark the time it takes for them to leave the ship and make it to us? It should give us a rough idea of how far away that other ship is on foot."
Looking outside he also remarks "Looks like we are holding up until this passes."
After this he returns to his meditations.

Ceelell approaches Troy. "I may be able to be assistance in this regard, Sir. Groodar seems to have his hands full with that droid, and while I am afraid I am not so mechanically inclined, I am well studied in such things. Much better in the war room then in field work, I'm afraid."
I'll roll, but you can apply whichever knowledge you feel would be appropriate to analyze the feeds, KEJR. All my knowledges are at the same bonus, except life sciences which is 3 higher.

You did a very careful analysis of the record, and you can determine the direction of the other ship, and that its about two hours march away from here, through some rocky terrain, then into another field of shield leaf plants.
Most of the terrain between ships is difficult terrain.
Is there anything else you are keeping an eye out for on the recording?

"Statement: your attempts at repair are noted. This unit does not require armor upgrades at the moment. This unit does require access to a new droid powerpack for his rifle in order to continue a sustainable level of violence and mayhem.... Error: Correction, protection for the Jedi and assorted meatbags."
Man where are those repair packs when you need them?
Ceelell Bendon
GameMasterKEJR
Only other thing I can think of that I would have been curious about were the shield leaves. Anything I can think of that they would be useful for? Ship repairs is the obvious one, but anything else?
Bah, probably can't think of anything.
For Ceelell:
One thing you do pick up about the shield leaves is that they can be used as makeshift Riot Shields (Threats of the Galaxy pg 77), basically meaning that in any round that you fight defensively, you gain a +5 bonus due to cover.
A given leaf can't be used indefinitely, since it eventually dries out and falls apart, but it will work fairly well for an encounter, at least.
The shieldleaf plants appear to dissipate energy across its surface, minimizing the energy's effect, perhaps as a natural adaption to the strange electrical storms on this moon.
I added your +5 for life sciences bonus to the check.

After 7 hours HK-22 will have been repaired 3 measly hit points and all persistent conditions are removed.
I'm going to rule that Remar has taken a look at HK-22 as well, and in that 7 hour period that all of you are waiting for, HK-22 gets an additional 4 hp repaired.
So after 7 hours of work, HK-22 gained a total of 7 hp back.
Let me know if you wish to continue working on him to him any more hit points.
GameMasterKEJR
Aruuna listens in to the recording with some interest. 'Sith Empire, hmm? It would seem that the Republic lost the battle, and the war. Ah well, at least we'll have lots of targets.
Lucen, my friend, have you perhaps heard of the Sith Empire?'
Lucen tilts her head to the side . . . "Sith . . . I believe the raiders have used that term before. The ones with the bright lances. Most beings glow when we look at them, from the glow of a sunrise to the dim glow of sunset . . . but looking at them was like looking at an eclipse."
Side note for everyone:
Ceelell Bendon
Ceelell considers further on the recording. "It seems that these droids, or more likely their Sith masters are preparing for some sort of assault. These shield leaves can truly be used in this way. They make an impressive riot shield or makeshift cover and can deter energy blasts reasonably. This is quite a hostile environment, but I would almost think that would be their reason for being here, such a hostile place would be the only place you could find such a sturdy natural occurance. However, if they cannot leave as Lucen says, then they must be gathering them for some other reason."
Clicking the teeth on both sides of his head in thought, Ceelell continues down the train of thought. "There seem two likely possibilities. Either there is something else on this planet which the Sith feel the need to defend against, likely something advanced enough to have blaster weapons, or the Sith are making use of the shield plates to protect themselves against the storm somehow. Perhaps insulating their structures."
I've hit that exact same snare, KEJR. Funny how many words see legitimate use but are barred for other reasons.
Aruuna Irdrall
Aruuna ponders for a moment before speaking. 'Of course, if the Sith are still here, one wonders what has happened to the Jedi... though such thoughts are better left for when we aren't in such a perilous position. Got to think practically..'
With that, she heads into the engine room, checking to see how much damage has been sustained there, and to see if the power generators are intact. ((She'd take ten on her perception roll. Being untrained in mechanics means that she wouldn't try touching things in more then a superficial manner, fearing that she'd break it!))
Christy Gamble
Basic: "Lucen - How much longer will it be before the storms die down and it's safe to travel? Our mission was to stop the Sith, so I assume that remains unchanged still. Perhaps we can be of some help Lucen, could you tell us more? We are 300 years behind in current events."
Danguard Troy
"That recording didn't have any humans on it that I could see, it's possible any actual Sith forces are on the planet below. I suspect with the damage done to our ship will will need to commender that other vessel, or strip it for parts. Seeing as it's run by Sith forces in some shape and form, I see no problem in this task."

Basic: "Ceelell, you appear to be in charge and skilled in the arts of war, what do you suggest as our next course of action? Shall we rest and eat while we wait for the outside storm to pass?"
Groodar has spent at least 7 hours on HK-22 and will wait for the rest of the group to decide the next course of action before devoting more time to repairs on HK-22. He does not want to be left alone if the group decides to leave the ship.
In his spare time he will copy Author's footage to a blank datacard.
Use Computer check (if needed) to back up Author's recordings to a datacard. (1d20+12=25)
This is some great footage! Just think of the story, 'The Saga of 300 Years' brought to you by yours truly! Thinks Groodar to himself with glee. Why he may even be considered a living relic himself he pounders.
Ceelell Bendon
Ceelell looks to Groodar as he is spoken to and then shakes his head slightly. "I believe that Jedi Troy has taken command of the mission. I am simply giving tactical analysis. Though since it isn't safe out as long as the storm rages, I would advise that everyone attempts to recover from their wounds and prepare for the day ahead. We will likely see further combat."
Danguard Troy
"I have indeed taken command Grooda, for now. A temporary measure until such a time we can contact the council."
Wrapping a strip of cloth around his hand he continues.
"-but to answer you questions, most Jedi are separated from their parents at a young age. We are taught to break such connections, so our emotions do not - interfere with what we must do."
He pauses again.
"I do offer my apologies however Groodar and Ceelell, it must be a jarring turn of events for you. Excuse me though, I do wish to look over the hyperdrive to try and see how bad of shape it really is in."
Danguard, unless stopped for some reason checks out the hyperdrive, to which I can take 10 and beat a DC 15 (not 25 though)
Groodar Greepbar
Basic: "Lord Danguard we looked at the hyperdrive together many hours ago and could tell that the hyperdrive and the engines have extensive damage. We would need to rebuild the engines, and need to replace most of the hyperdrive before it will work. My tool kit is far inadequate for the parts we need. Do you have an idea that needs assistance as I was going to return to HK-22?"
Danguard Troy
Calmly: "Allow me to re-correct you again Grooda, my title is knight, not lord, not master. I believe we 'also' had that prior conversation if memory serves.
If I didn't know any better I'd say your intentionally trying to provoke me. But, I do know better. So If you'll excuse me, I was merely trying to make a graceful exit while I checked on our wounded comrade."
Groodar Greepbar
Basic: "Apologies friend Danguard as Groodar meant no offense. Groodar's people have deep respect for those of great abilities hence why Groodar is always referring to you as Master or Lord. It is as if you are the master of the hunt now. Groodar will try to remember that his ways offend you. Groodar was also humbly reminding you about the engines as he feels lost in all this as he is detached from all that he held dearly. Groodar is trying his best to show he is of value among those of greater talents than his own. Why even the computers and news networks must have changed in the span of 300 years so Groodar's skills may no longer be of use to those in the civilized worlds, and among his people, one who cannot hunt or provide aid in the hunt become the hunted themselves."
Christy Gamble
"Don't worry about it Groodar, it's just a Jedi rank thing, he knew you didn't mean anything by it. Jedi have to earn the rank of Master, and we do not use Lord, that title is sometimes connected with fallen Jedi, or worse."
Looking over the rifle, is there any markings of vender, make, model, etc? Does it also look like it has had 300 years of evolution as well?
Aruuna Irdrall
Hearing that the hyperdrive has infact been checked, Aruuna mutters and turns back to the cargo hold.
'It would be a shame if we had to abandon this ship. It has kept us alive and safe for three hundred years, through space and time. Regardless, we should do something about the remains of the bridge crew.'
She then turns to Groodar and puts her arm over his shoulders.
'I suppose we Jedi did not realise that others here may have lost people they cared for. As Danguard said, we are.. discouraged from forming attachments. Though, in my own case, everyone I cared for was dead before I stepped onboard. Partly the reason I'm here, really.
Regardless of the time passing, Groodar, I am sure the galaxy is always after a good story, and travellers from three hundred years in the past would surely be one, right?'

Lucen gets a puzzled look on her face.
"My people don't really measure time the way you seem to. Most storms are done before we can see the Sun again, though, although some last for multiple cycles.
As far as current events go, I'm afraid I'm not of much help. My people tend to busy themselves by flying from moon to moon, with the really adventurous landing on the planet below.
Most of us only go to the planet to see if we can find the dragon, but the Demons usually are enough incentive to stay away.
Still, most of the ships that have survivors are the ones that crash on the planet, but from what I've seen, its harder to escape starting from the planets than starting from where we are. You are currently on one of the furthest moons out, with the least amount of debris in orbit around it."
GameMasterKEJR

"The Demons? They are like us, but not. They look like we do, but larger, and with horns on their heads, and perfect, sharp teeth. Nothing in this system needs to eat . . . but they do.
If you can see into a being's aura, their glow is dark and shifting, angry, like the one's with the bright lances.
They don't live on the moons, just on the planet below, and when the spacers that get lost wander away from their fellows, the Demons fall upon them.
The Dragon is an massive being, but she doesn't come out that often. Her eyes are gone, but she had them at one point in time. She has been here as long as my people can remember, and sometimes she answers questions, but other times, she simply runs away from others."
HK-22
"Statement: As much as this unit enjoys fruitless supernatural discussion, this unit must insist that we actually DO something. Query: Or do you meatbags think you can survive another 300 years?"
HK-22 has spent this time being repaired and removing the power pack from the new rifle to recharge his trusty old death dealing sidekick, Mr Blasty.
GameMasterKEJR
Remar points out that, since you all have slept for quite a while and have only spent about two hours before the fight broke out, coupled with the seven hours of work on HK-22, you all could probably spend another seven hours or so working on HK-22, rest for the "night," and start out fresh tomorrow.
Between Remar and Groodar, you may even get HK-22 back to spec.
Ceelell Bendon
Ceelell considers what Lucen says and then moves over to Troy to confer with him as he is acting commander, though he doesn't try and quiet his words so any of the others can hear.
"Sir, these dragons could be something of a galactic legend. I know of no confirmed reports of them, but rumor has it that they are creatures of immense power. From Lucen's description, it sounds as if this one is rather ancient, and for these creatures that likely means it has lived for millenia, but even with its advanced age we should likely be wary. It may do its best to avoid conflict, but we wouldn't wish to surprise such a beast or corner it accidentally."
