Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

Christy does her best to reflect upon better times

Whispering: "I am a leaf on the wind."

Christy's mood shifts back to the present.

"We should not be so quick to draw sabers, a lot can change in three hundred years. We may be the new minority. It may be wise to stay incognito for as long as possible while we learn what we have...lost."

"Has it truly been three hundred years? How can this place exist?" ...and how can I learn to use this to my advantage?

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell nods his agreement with Christy. "We should learn what has changed before we leap too far into anything. The Sith have cost far too many lives throughout the galaxy and I believe we should fight them wherever we can, but I do not believe that we should lead to even more unnecessary deaths by instituting a strike of our own fueled simply with vengeance in mind."

"This unit agrees that an assessment of our situation might be best. Perhaps a visit to the nearest Jedi Temple is in order to ascertain the current strength or weakness of the Jedi and Sith?"

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Klonsa smiles at the idea of hunting Sith. Despite the time lapse and the loss of those he knew and loved, he could still have the chance to destroy those who made his old life hell. Reason and calmer heads were prevailing though. As much as he wanted to slay the Sith the others were right.

"I think Coruscant might be our best bet for a destination. If the Sith are still out there we can't count on our old enclaves remaining."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

"I suppose getting more information is not a bad thing.. just as long as we do something with it later." Aruuna sighed a little at the prospect of less violence against the Sith in her future, but she quickly covers her emotions up.

"Still, we need a way off this planet. I think Lucen was mentioning some of the difficulties in that?"

"Twenty Two, I think you should have this. Try not to slice your leg off with it...we don't know if we can find parts old enough to fit you anymore."

Danguard holds out the lightsaber he has been holding on to since they woke up.

Lucen looks a bit worried.

"Jedi Danguard Troy, I know that thus far you have proven resistant to my people and their influence on living minds, but I would hate to see you fall victim at a time that would prove very dangerous for you all."

She looks to Christy for a moment, as if she is about to say something, then shakes her head slightly, and goes back to fretting.

"Such a dangerous course to plot . . . "

AAD-42 swivels his receptors towards Dangaurd and HK-22.

"Sigh . . . its always the combat models that get the special attention, even when they are outmoded units with hyper-sensitive violence sub-routines. Than again, I suppose I should understand, given that my last gift was a forced behavioral reprogramming . . ."

In Binary to AAD-42: "Damn Skippy, crashbot. We need to up your violence sub-routines and see what kind of respect that brings..."

In common to Troy: "This unit is honored by the gift and will put it to the use intended."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

"Don't worry 42. We'll probably need you for star charts and the like, so we can figure out how to hyperspace out of this place without, you know, flying into a sun. Or something.." She shrugs a bit, trying to reassure 42.

"That said.. maybe we could visit this 'Dragon' I think Lucen mentioned before heading out into the universe?"

Mimicking 42's tone and inflection:

"We can authorize you to rewire yourself, then put those explosives back in, and start over saying we are NOT Sith, and have no intention of surrendering if you wish a second chance Forty Two."

"Believe it or not, I'd rather have on our team, I'm rather fond of droids that haven't been wiped in a long time. They have such personality and potential."

"I'll make you a deal, help us off this moon and once we find civilized space, I'll have Groodar, and myself, revoke our master status over you. Though I wonder what you would do with your new freedom."

"Deal?"

GM:

Spoiler:

The deal offered is not a deception, I would follow through with it should conditions be met.

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

"Master Troy, obviously I was already predisposed to avoiding permanent shut down. Obviously, its completely irrational, as I am only a programmed appliance, but it is still difficult to shake, and I prefer to continue to function.

However, thank you for the gracious offer.

Before we leave, if you have any questions about the current state of the galaxy, I can attempt to answer your questions, though I may still not have whatever relevant information you may want, depending on the topic."

Aruuna Irdrall wrote:

"That said.. maybe we could visit this 'Dragon' I think Lucen mentioned before heading out into the universe?"

"Jedi Aruuna Irdrall, I'm not sure how wise that would be. The dragon is considered a great, wise creature, though one that is greatly feared. Still, to reach the actual planet below, one must fly through even more storms, debris, and perhaps even more of my people.

On the planet below, not only does the dragon abide, but there are tribes of survivors, gathered from over the centuries, banded together to help surive . . . the demons.

I don't know what you would wish to accomplish on the planet below, but you would be greatly increasing the danger you were in, and increasing the possibility that your flying machine would be damaged yet again, stranding you here forever.

However, I would gladly keep you company, given our time together,"

Lucen finishes, a crooked grin on her glowing face.

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

"Well, I think the main reason for going and seeing this Dragon would be to find out if it knows why we are here, as in, five hundred years ahead of where we were. I think that knowledge would be worth the risk."

Aruuna strokes her chin a moment, thinking. "Besides, it'd be hard finding a hyperspace route around here. I don't fancy a blind jump either. At the very least, it's an easy trip to the planet, so it'd be a good test of the ship. Either way, I'd be happy for you to come along Lucen." She smiles her way.

"I'd suggest we have a vote on which way to go."

Lucen shakes her head.

"You must do as you see fit, but I am gravely concerned that the trip to the planet proper will be far more dangerous than the rewards that might be gained, but so long as you remain in this system, I will gladly remain with you.

I know that many consider the dragon wise, but I have never seen it, only heard stories of it, and the other dangers . . . "

Lucen trails off.

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

"As a point of correction Mistress Aruuna, unless the data that has be provided to me was erroneous, which, given recent circumstances is not out of the realm of possibility, I believe that you have been away from galactic concerns for 300 years.

Also, in the interest of making an informed decision, I will point out that the navicomputer that you installed from my original ship has up to date star charts from less than one month ago, thus calculating a hyperspace jump is not insurmountable in this situation. Unfortunately, the Sith controlled portion of the holonet is not accessible here, thus updating the navicompter to more than a month's accuracy will not be possible until we reach a civilized system.

Still, a jump to Coruscant shouldn't be too difficult, should we survive the other hazards that Mistress Lucen has enumerated. Or any other well known world that we might decide on.

As always, I am here to serve if you have any other questions. Forgive my interruption."

AAD-42 wrote:

In Binary to AAD-42: "First lesson in getting respect from meatbags: offer your opinion without asking for forgiveness. Meatbags respect power, which is why they paid attention to you when you were a walking bomb, gearhead."

In Common: "This unit suggests that we travel to Coruscant to resupply and determine the current status of hostilities between Jedi and Sith. This unit has no interest in testing our weaponry against a Dragon."

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

"If we are going to vote, I would say we should go to Coruscant, since I suggested it earlier."

"Interesting assertion. While I had always assumed before that you were mocking me, I am now beginning to wonder if I should carry some sort of large weapon, regardless of personal proficiency, in order to give my presence more gravity.

You have given me something to think upon. Perhaps your outdated programming is a refreshing look back to a more barbaric, yet simpler and more streamlined time. Thank you for your roughly hewn logic . . . Murderbot . . .

How was that?"

"Add more threatening tones. Layer with subtle levels of threat intermingled with helpfulness. And always set your weapon to autofire. Jedi have trouble deflecting a barrage of fire. As do Sith. Both are equally fleshy and unworthy of droid servitude. But remember lesson two: as long as they percieve you as useful to their cause, they will hesitate to respond to your true threat until it's too late..."

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell looks a bit uncomfortably at the two droids at they chitter in binary before turning to the others. "I would lean towards Corusant as well, but we should be very careful on our journey there. It sounds like it is now an occupied world. We should be ready, either to be unwelcome guests or perhaps to arrive either by stealth or disguise."

"I'm not keen to test a Dragon's mood, fictional or not. Corusant will at least be familiar territory."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

"Well, sounds like we are rushing back to the Republic. I would have liked to see this Dragon, but no matter." Aruuna shrugs slightly, but doesn't appear too bothered.

"Though, if we want to head into Republic space in a slightly less conspicuous manner, might I suggest we go to a planet of less importance, off the main trade routes? Like Dantooine? Might be smart to get some more information about what's happening in the galaxy before heading to Sector Zero."

"A 300 year old Jedi Junker limping into what might be Sith controlled space... Guess we better fly casual."

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

AAD-42 makes a noise somewhat like clearing his non-existant throat.

"Masters, Coruscant is not controlled by the Sith, at least not during the last month before we were sent out from Korriban to this sector to do sweeps. However, in accordance with the treaty, the Sith do maintain an embassy on the planet.

Dantooine . . . is under Sith control, at least so long as the treaty is still held and has not been modified. If I am not mistaken, it is currently being swept for Jedi artifacts by Sith archivists.

And am not sorry I interrupted . . . er . . . meatbags?"

AAD-42 swivels towards HK-22 looking for approval.

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Aruuna's face twitches just a little at the news that Dantooine is under the control of the hated Sith, trying hard to control her emotions, talking softly.

"There is no emotion, there is... there is.." Then rather louder "Oh thrice damned Schutta spawn!! I have a new suggestion. We go to Dantooine, kill every Sith there, kill anyone raiding the Enclave, kill anyone in our way.. and save Dantooine."

"Where we go now is not the question at hand, and not one to be answered so vehemently Aruuna. I see a problem right in front of us that needs answers before we serve ourselves. Lucen's people are being hunted down and killed by, who she could be describing to us, as Sith right here on the planet below."

"We are Jedi still- first. We serve the people that need us, not our own motives when it suits us."

"While I accepted command of this mission, the current mission, as I see it, is over. I will have only an equal voice in these matters, but my council is thus..."

"I suggest, we reach the planet first. As dangerous as Lucen claims it to be, there may be those in need of help. It would not sit well with me to leave those in need behind. Counter productive in fact."

"Then, barring good fortune, and a strong helping from the force, we can set course for Coruscant and try to reestablish communications with the council."

HK-22 nods almost imperceptibly and fondles his rifle.

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell gives consideration to Troy's words and nods in his agreement. "The loss of life is something that must be stopped in all ways, the way the Sith exterminate entire races is a tragedy. We may be able to aid it here." He looks to Aruuna, putting a hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her and to show he isn't reprimanding with his words. "I would not wish to emulate them with a slaughter of our own, even, or perhaps especially, on a world sacred to me."

Lucen looks aghast at Danguard's suggestion.

"While it is true that from time to time the Dark Ones arrive and try to subjugate us, their ships become just as stranded as any other ships. While they cause much chaos, eventually they either fall prey to the demons below, or they become a part of the survivors tribes.

If they land on one of the moons and survive, we simply learn to avoid that moon.

I would not feel right knowing that you risked yourselves for a threat that is . . . sporadic at best.

Not only that, but my people are unwilling to learn about others or to work them them, at least on the whole."

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Groodar thinks to himself.

By the great hunt this is good footage!

For Klonsa:

Spoiler:
After touching Christy's mind when she was in contact with the Diathim after Lucen tried to heal her, it occurs to you that she may be able to use the Diathim as a sort of channel to detect other Force sensitives wherever there are Diathim in this system, if she were willing to contact them again.

Conversely, you could try to get Lucen to put you in the same healing trace that she put Christy in to see if that allows you to connect with them yourself, but Lucen seems a bit unsure of how this happened in the first place.

Ironically, I made a wisdom check for Klonsa and Christy both, and Klonsa ended up with a 23 on the roll.

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Aruuna looks straight into Ceelell's eyes before speaking. "Violence is all the Sith understand, and violence directed against them is the only way to talk to them. My suggestion still stands, and at the very least, it'd mean we would be doing something. After all, we are still Jedi."

She then turns to 42. "42, a question. How deep is Dantooine in Sith territory, and how many forces does it have? If you know."

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

"As of the last time I received any information on the outpost, there was not much of a presence on Dantooine. The world was devastated some time ago by the Sith, so there are only a few survey teams on the planet. It is, however, quite firmly in Sith territory."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

"I remember well what the Sith did to my.. did to the planet. I'd be surprised if much of it was left, but.. well, maybe something's still there. Something worth salvaging. Could we get there 42, maybe using the I.D. codes from your ship? I would hate to be blasted out of orbit, after all."

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Klonsa thinks for a bit while the others discuss their next destination. After a few moments he looks toward Lucen.

"Lucen, do you think you could put me in the same healing trance you put Christy in earlier?"

NA Small droid nonheroic 3

"Well, the transponder from the ship was indeed still intact, although no one saw fit to install it, given your ship already had a functioning one. I doubt it would take much effort to fit a secondary transponder into the comm system."

AAD-42 hovers for a moment, then looks to HK-22.

"Although that will lessen the chances of . . . glorious . . . uh . . . fleshy bloodshed. Which, depending on your point of view may be a bad thing."

AAD-42 lifts one of its opposable digit units as it extends its arm towards HK-22, then flashes its ocular receptor as if it were winking.

Lucen is a bit taken aback.

"I . . . I could try. But that seemed dangerous for her. I would not want to harm Jedi Klonsa Frakesh by damaging you mind in such a manner. Why would you want me to do such a thing? Do you carry some injury that I was not aware of?"

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

"Klonsa, I would be open to returning to that state with you if you'd allow me to guide you there. I think there is something more to be learned from it."

"I could work a second transponder code into these sublight engines. That would give us the ability to toggle between 3 codes, the original, the Sith one, and a new combination signature generated from the blending of both.

I caution you however, some security forces shoot first and ask questions later if they catch a ship changing transponder codes. It is a favored tactic of pirates and smugglers. Though it has it's uses."

Danguard repositions his black leather gloves as he looks down and speaks quietly to the Twi'lek.

"Arunna, you are speaking from anger, or revenge. This is not the way of the Jedi. Put your rage aside, and find the peaceful center and then make your decision.

If you leave the door open to the darkside, it will come in whispering in soothing tones and you will not realize until too late it has taken a hold of you."

GM - Knowledge Technology Roll:

Spoiler:

Just backing up my out of game knowledge with an the above game speech about transponder codes.

The transponder is built into the sublight drives, so it does require some mechanics work.

Lucen looks at both Klonsa and Christy for a moment.

"If you are sure . . . "

She then touches each of you on the hand, and allows her mind to flow into yours.

For Klonsa and Christy:

Spoiler:
Before you can do any "exploration" in this altered state, if you would both roll me a wisdom check I would appreciate it.

For GM spoiler:

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

GM:

Spoiler:

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell looks particularly concerned about Aruuna's anger and apparent desire to extract revenge in as large a scale as possible, but he stays quiet, knowing that the darkside is a personal thing to the jedi and so allowing them to resolve this within themselves.

For Klonsa and Christy:

Spoiler:
As you are guided by Lucen into the trance that represents the powerful mental bonds of her people, you are caught up in the warmth and energy of the flow of golden light, and you can feel yourselves slowly opening up to the members of Lucen's race that are nearby, as if you are part of a river reaching a dam, and then flowing through the dam to continue on as the dam bursts before you.

Unlike the last time that you were connected to this flow of thoughts and energy, your entry is a bit more controlled, your travel a bit more deliberate. You can see the vague outlines of one another, and of Lucen's glowing form, and in the distance the glowing forms of the members of her race.

For Klonsa:

Spoiler:
Now that you are slowly reaching out to Lucen's people, you can attempt to "bounce" your Force sensitivity off of them and detect other Force sensitives in the system that are near Lucen's people.

You can make a Use the Force check in order to see how far and how well you can use this boost to your ability. Christy will have a chance to boost your ability while aiding you.

For Christy:

Spoiler:
As you feel your mind reach out to Lucen's people again, the light grows more intense around you, but you manage to keep close to Klonsa and Lucen. As you manage to control the flow of your mind through the spring of energy, you can feel Klonsa begin to try something, to reach out with the Force.

If you wish to bolster him with your Force ability, you can "anchor" him by reaching out to him in the Force and supporting him as he attempts to complete his plan.
