Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Seeing and waiting till he is the last one left outside of the ship, Groodar adjusts the straps on his well-worn backpack, makes sure his cool-looking flight jacket is securely adjusted, and then takes his time climbing up to the top of the crashed ship, lest he falls.

As he gets to the top, he extends his head antennae wide, looks around at the great view now from the top, and then scans the area.

Visual scan of the great view far atop the crashed ship. (1d20+5=15) [Perception check]

He then closes his eyes, trying to let any possible breeze hit his rough, pebbly textured skin. He tries to soak up the experience, listening for any active sounds, sensing with his antennae.... trying to 'taste' the air itself. His mind lingers for a few moments......

The last time Groodar was this high up was high atop the deep trees of his jungle planet, during the times of the hunts.
He wipes a silent tear away from his large black bulbous eye.

Well, perhaps 300 years is enough time to erase mistakes. Besides, Rodia could have changed much in that time.

He then enters the ship.

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Aruuna grins to herself at Danguard's entrance, thinking he should lose a few pounds. She then turns to the droid, drawing her lightsaber but not activating it.

'Come out here into the light then, so we can.. surrender.'

HK-22 stalks after the jedi, rifle at the ready, switched back to single shot mode. When he hears the droid offer terms of surrender, he makes electronic chuckling noises, "Sarcastic statement: Oh my! Your obvious tactical advantage overwhelms this unit with fear and fleshy emotions! Query: Shall this unit blow this tinpot out of the air, Jedi?"

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

'Not just now, big guy. It does have us at quite the tactical disadvantage. I mean, it was a carefully planned ambush it set out which Danguard here sprung, so I think that for now we should stick to talking, rather then blasting. Just for now..' She winks at HK, turning back to the other droid in the room.

As Ceelell, Klonsa, and Groodar climb over the edge of the ship, they hear HK-22's comments and Aruuna's reply.

For HK-22, Aruuna, and Dangaurd:

Spoiler:
The other members haven't heard the droid speak yet, but the three of you, if you could get me a perception check I would appreciate it.

Outside the ship, Lucen is standing next to Christy, lightly poking her with a digit as the Jedi continues to stare out into space.

"Oh my."

Perception, gm:

Spoiler:
1d20+6 [19,6] = (25)

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

I'm lurking still, awaiting what happens with Lucen. Depending on what happens, I may simply wait outside.

For Danguard:

Spoiler:
You pick up something in the modulation of the droid's voice when it asks you to surrender . . . almost like its very desperate for you to say that you have surrendered, and not just an amusing affectation of fluttery droid.

Christy Gamble wrote:

For Christy:

Spoiler:
Christy can attempt to make a Wisdom check to snap out of her euphoria, if she asserts herself.

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Hearing HK's comment and Aruuna's retort, Klonsa attempts to sneak down the access panel.

Stealth check 1d20+2 [10,2] = (12)

Watching Christy's state further, Lucen looks around for a bit, pokes her again with a digit, and once again says . . . "oh my."

Klonsa wrote:

Perception check = 20

The droid swivels towards the Selkath Jedi.

"I would be a poor analysis droid if I weren't equipped with state of the art receptors that allow me to be completely aware of my situation at all times. I'm sorry, but I'll have to call for your surrender as well.

Trying to sneak up on me? Sad."

At this point a cable from the nearby console falls on the ground behind the droid, and it spins in place.

"Eeep!"

"Ahem."

For Aruuna and HK-22:

Spoiler:
Neither of you seem to pick up anything by paying attention to the droid at this point in time.

"Maybe we should surrender right? We'd hate to have to force you to do something ...destructive, am I right friends?"

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

'That's exactly what I've been saying! We surrender'

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Looking between the droid and the others, Celell motions for Troy and Groodar to come closer if they can so they can speak with them. "A moment if you would, we would have to discuss the terms of our surrender."

If the two come, he backs up out of the range of the droids likely hearing and whispers to them.

Groodar and Troy

Spoiler:
"I realize that this droid seems to be no threat at all and that surrendering to him could be a direct way to be lead to his leadership, however I believe there could be several angles to this which we should consider before we take any action. Though admittedly, my experience with Sith betrayals in the past may have made me somewhat... paranoid I suppose."

"First, he is almost certainly in communication with the droid brain that is leading this force. As an analysis droid, perhaps his purpose is to appear harmless in this way as a honeypot. This is a deal that is difficult to pass up and that makes it dangerous. His purpose may be to study us as he takes us there and accepts our surrender so that the enemy knows how best to deal with us when we arrive."

"The other option of course would be that he is a diversion of some kind, meant to either slow us down for the enemy to have time to respond, to lead us away rather then towards their leader and perhaps into some unknown danger; such as being out far from shelter when the next discharge storm hits, or maybe only to act when the next attack comes. Tripping us up at the key time or making noise to mask an ambush and give foes that key tactical advantage."

"In any case, surrendering to him may well be in our best interest to make sure we can get where we need to. However, I suggest we do it wisely. If we do have the upper hand on him as we clearly believe, then he should accept most demands on our side, so long as he thinks we are truly surrendering. I suggest that Groodar shuts down his comm system, so that he cannot update others of our progress and even if it is a trap it will not be able to be a coordinated one."

Wow, hows that for paranoid?

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Having been spotted, Klonsa moves slowly toward Aruuna stopping just behind her.

HK-22 tilts his head to the side. "Query: Us? Surrender? Why? Tactical assessment: your chances of escaping this situation in less than 27.2 pieces is 1 in 727,043. Less so if you count this unit's propensity for unnecessary violence. Warning: this unit's trigger is becoming lubricated with "fear". It may slip at any moment..."

"Hold on Aitch Kay, this droid obviously has the upper hand, it would be futile for Groodar to hit him with his Ion weapon and then try to reprogram him. That would not work at all. This droid is obviously in charge."

Ceelell Bendon wrote:

For Ceelell:

The analysis droid swivels on HK-22 and speaks with him.

"Combat droid: Assertion. Put that thing away or you could get us all killed. Clearly your limited programming doesn't quite grasp the subtle nuances of this situation."

Danguard Troy wrote:

The droid looks to Dangaurd.

"Ah, clearly the leader of your expedition is quite reasonable. I can tell from his modulated tone that he has fully aquiessed to my authority in this situation. This unit is gratified to find such a reasonable organic with which to converse."

HK-22 looks at the droid, calculates the odds of it making satisfyingly pained noises when destroyed, looks at the fleshy meatbags around him and calculates the odds of them not needing his considerable help, makes a noncommittal "Disappointed statement: Very well. If you have need of this unit it will be plundering this ship."

HK-22 then lowers his rifle and wanders away to see what sort of weaponry this ship might possess that HK-22 could add to his arsenal.

Perception and Knowledge: Things That Make Fleshy Things Hurt checks: 1d20+8=24, 1d20=17

Danguard Troy relaxes as HK-22 decides to not escalate the situation frther.

"Good Idea Aitch Kay, let's avoid an 'explosive' situation and you can go wander off and power down that would be swell."

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Knowledge Tech (1d20+8=13)

I'm pretty sure that the statistics are on my side, that I will have to roll above a 10 at some point.

Again, perhaps because of your long hibernation, you feel as if you are fairly close of thinking of something important, but it remains just on the edge of your consciousness.

The droid swivels back towards Dangaurd Troy.

"Ah, good, now that you have sufficiently surrendered, let us discuss the terms of your surrender. I would demand that you immediately take me to your ship, and carry me to the nearest Sith Embassy where we can arrange your ransom.

Of course I'm not particularly concerned with our destination, so as long as you go somewhere that has a proper Sith Embassy, you need not give me many details on our trip."

Everyone except for Christy, go ahead and make a perception check and let me know the results.

As everyone is climbing into the ship and discussing terms of surrender with the analysis droid, Lucen goes into a bit of a panic.

For the organic party members:

Spoiler:
Lucen lets you a telepathic call to all of you. She sounds a bit concerned, even in her mental "voice."

"I hope you aren't upset with me, new friends, but I think that I may have damaged Jedi Christy Gamble."

Klonsa shakes his head and begins climbing out of the ship.

"I'll go check on Christy."

Female Twilek (Lethan) Jedi 2

Perception Check 1+1=2 Aruuna can tell there's a ceiling, some walls, another ceiling.. no wait, that's the floor.

Seeing that Klonsa is going to take care of Christ, she turns back to the droid, and grins slightly. 'Well, our ship is kinda broken at the moment. We need to salvage some stuff from this ship to get it done. Just so we can get to your ransom quicker, of course.'

Perception: 1d20+8=11

HK-22 stalks around the hold, kicking at random parts, picking some up and tossing them aside.

"Statement: this ship is beyond salvage. Recommendation: Line the hold with explosives, retreat to a safe distance and enjoy the fireworks."

Male Ithorian Noble 1

Ceelell turns towards Klonsa as he moves. "If you need assistance, let me know. I am not skilled with the practice of medical arts, but I know some of the theory."

KEJR

Spoiler:
The sad thing is that I am running a pathfinder game and as soon as I had to roll for one of my players it was a natural 20. I just can't roll for myself. But it doesn't look like any of the others can roll very well either at the moment.

Perception check reroll. (1d20+5=20)

Groodar looks at this demanding droid to determine its model, degree, and desginated function
Mechanics skill check (1d20+7=27)

Male Selkath Jedi 2 (XP: 1342)

Klonsa looks back at Ceelell as he starts climbing out.

"I will be sure to call if I need assistance."

Once outside, Klonsa climbs down the ship and approaches Christy. Once he gets up to her he takes a quick look over to try and see what's wrong. He then attempts to flow the Force into her to try and accelerate healing to see if that helps her.

Perception check 1d20+7 [15,7] = (22), Treat Injury check 1d20+2 [9,2] = (11) finally Use the Force check for Vital Transfer 1d20+7 [8,7] = (15)

Male Rodian Scoundrel-2

Also, with that Mechanics roll can I tell if this droid has locked access?

For Danguard:

Spoiler:
You continue with the feeling that the droid is trying to convey more in what it is saying without literally saying more. Specifically you get the feeling that he wants you to make sure you are careful to continue to say that you are surrendering to him, without adding too many details.

For Groodar:

Spoiler:
You can tell that the droid is trying to convey extra meaning with its carefully chosen words. Above all else you can tell that it feels that it is important for you to continue to say that you have surrendered to the droid regardless of the details.

If you had to guess, it would seem to be an Arakyd Industries droid of some sort.

The model of the droid appears to be a bit too new for you to know its specific designation, but your guess is, based on knowledge of other analysis droids and similar models from your day, that the droid is a 1st degree droid, and its job is basically to gather information, come up with theories based on that information, and to issue orders to other, non-hueristic droids that might be assigned to it.

Similar droids of your day were often equipped with self-destruct systems when employed in delicate situations.

When Klonsa arrives at Christy's location, with Lucen standing nearby, Klonsa can see Christy staring into space. Your skill with medical procedures tells you that she seems to be in perfect health at the moment, but she has a euphoric look on her face, as if she is viewing something pleasing and far away.

She does not respond to your poking or prodding at all.

Lucen tilts her head to one side.

"Did I do permanent damage. I am truly sorry if I did. Can I do anything to help?"

Groodar Greepbar wrote:

For Goodar:

Spoiler:
From your previous check, you know that it most likely does, if it is like similar models from your day.

For Christy:

Spoiler:
As you stare forward, drifting through the pleasant streams of light that caress your senses, you see Klonsa's disembodied head floating next to you, appearing to be concerned, but you still feel the flow of comforting liquid sunlight all around you.

Having found nothing of tactical value, HK-22 moves back toward the knot of Jedi. "Statement: Monitoring conversation. Query: Since when do the Sith maintain embassies?"

Female Jedi 1 / Soldier 1

"OOooo Klonsa you're here too, isn't this light amazing?"

GM:

Spoiler:

I wan't to try and find the bigger picture with this 'vision', but I will say for the record I have an addictive personality so this is kinda selfish.

So I would like to try and 'Use the Force' to just let it wash through me stronger if possible. Grabbing Lucen's hand, etc.

Feel free to make appropriate checks, if possible for me.

I'll get you a roll on Use The Force:
