Yup, they call it Pop Idol- which always struck me as a lot less pressure then hanging a national moniker on someone.

As for Susan Boyle, fair play to her, she's on the way to being the next Paul Potts.

What I just don't get is....when did it become automatic to assume that Jessica Simpson MUST be the best singer possible in the world? Her vocal cords are just so gorgeous, after all. WTF.
