Is your Pocket watch secretly an Astrolabe?

The Exchange

So when you pop the old watch out it has a unique characteristic: Its Long arm Points the same direction as the short arm at thirteen different angles. SO your Sun is on the long Arm, and Moon on the Short and the Earth on your Centre. So you have thirteen lunar months when the Sun is between the earth and the Moon...an angle defining the difference. SO as long as you begin with a chart for the year where the Sun and Moon are in relation to Earth, you can calculate where you are.
