For those who don't get Tom Lynch's newsletter:
'First off, the news:
Keith "Doc" Herber, Miskatonic River Press CEO and Editor-in-Chief passed away suddenly Friday morning, March 13th. He was a friend and a mentor to many of you. For those of you who wish to read it, his obituary is here: Keith Herber Obituary
Doc gave hundreds, if not thousands of us great joy through all the work he did with Chaosium, White Wolf, and finally with Miskatonic River Press. I know you all join me in mourning a great loss to the community as a whole, especially those of us who knew him and dealt with him personally.
Yes, he could be a cranky old bastard, but when you got right down to it, you found a good man with a good heart, willing to help out, looking to make the world a better place with the work he did and the people he touched. Personally, I think he succeeded.
In order to ease the burden of his passing, there is a fundraiser to help Sharon, his widow. Please visit the site, and give from your heart.
Now for what it means:
At this point, until we're certain of the future, Miskatonic River Press will have to suspend all business operations. If you have pre-ordered a book, we're still working that out; we have not given up.

For a CoC fan like me, this is as momentous as the passing of Gary Gygax.
Iä, Keith :-(
